However, because he had come from the future, Wesley found himself with knowledge that no one else had. He knew how some of Wolfram & Hart's plans would play out, and he knew how to stop them. Despite the initial confusion, Wesley was determined to make the most of his situation. He quickly became an integral part of the team and used his future knowledge to help his friends as much as possible. For a while, everything seemed to be going well. But then, things started to go wrong. Wesley realized that his presence in the past was starting to have unintended consequences. He was changing things, and not always for the better. The timeline was beginning to shift, and he was worried that he might be making things worse, not better. Wesley knew he had to do something to set things right. He decided to sacrifice himself to restore the timeline. He planned his own death and left behind a letter explaining everything.
