An IP address relates to the location of a user's computer or device, and a single person may have multiple IP addresses if they use different locations or networks. These IP addresses are grouped because the average embedding of each IP address's first turns (computed with all-MiniLM-L6-v2 sentence-transformer) has cosine similarity ≥ 0.85 and they share the same state (Kingston). Groups are merged transitively—if A matches B and B matches C, all three are grouped even if A and C are below 0.85.

USER: Write a descriptive and concise alternate history scenario in the form of a lengthy history book chapter in which, the pro-democracy movement in Taiwan chooses to dissolve the ROC [Republic of China], currently in exile on the island archipelago and return to Japanese rule via referendum after the death of Chiang Kai Shek's son and former dictator of the ROC, Chiang Ching-kuo, in 1988. After the overthrow of the dictatorships of Chun Doo-hwan and Roh Tae-woo in the Republic of Korea [ROK] on the southern half of the Korean peninsula by the June Struggle pro-democracy movement, overeager elements of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces launch a campaign of unofficial and unapproved guerilla warfare against the Soviet satellite dictatorship of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea [DPRK] occupying North Korea, cultivating a pro-democracy movement that topples the regime of Kim-Il-Sung in North Korea and unifies the Korean peninsula under a single government for the first time in 43 years. Kim-Young-san, a South Korean pro-democracy activist, is chosen as the leader of the provisional government of newly reunified Korea and holds a referendum on whether to restore the Joeson kingdom ruled by the Yi dynasty as its imperial family as the government of Korea, make a decommunized DPRK the government of United Korea, become neutral in the Cold War or even rejoin Japan. Surprisingly, the vote is overwhelmingly in favor of reannexation by Japan as the Korean youth, tired of years of ...
CHATBOT: Chapter 22: The Resurgence of an Eastern Alliance By the late 20th century, East Asia stood at the crossroads. In the wake of Chiang Ching-kuo's death in 1988, Taiwan's pro-democracy movement had made a surprising decision: to dissolve the Republic of China and hold a referendum to reinstate Japanese rule. On the Korean peninsula, the June Struggle had overthrown the dictatorships of Chun Doo-hwan and Roh Tae-woo in the Republic of Korea, leading to a grassroots campaign against North Korea's Kim-Il-Sung and the eventual reunification of the two Koreas. The subsequent choice of Kim-Young-san as the leader of a provisional government allowed for a pivotal referendum: would Korea remain neutral, restore the Joeson kingdom, adopt a decommunized DPRK, or rejoin Japan? The tide of history, it seemed, favored a return to Japan. In both Taiwan and Korea, disillusioned and disenchanted youths harbored deep resentments against the repressive regimes that ruled over them for decades, backed by the Soviets or the Americans. To them, the concept of a republic was synonymous with a nation shackled by centuries of backwardness, poverty, and worshipping China. In an extraordinary referendum, an overwhelming majority favored reannexation by Japan. As the Japanese state oversaw the consolidation and restoration of its territories, trials and reckoning soon followed. Loyalists to the Kim family, proponents of Juche ideology, as well as communist and pro-Moscow sympathizers within the former North Korean government, faced the full force of the law. This commitment to justice and peace earned the newly established government the trust and support of the people. In Indochina, the tides of history ran similarly. Fueled by the indignities of the Ba Dinh Hall bombing during the outbreak of the Sino-Vietnamese War, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam crumbled, giving rise to the Empire of Vietnam. Vietnam had not only reclaimed the provinces of Guangxi and Guangdong in the course of humiliating defeat of the People's Republic of China, but had also successfully annexed Cambodia and Laos. This new Southern dynasty emerged fiercely independent, determined to stand firm against the encroachment of either the USSR or the USA. Still, American and PRC support for the remnants of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia became a persistent thorn in Emperor Bao Ngoc's side. Upon learning of Japan's reclamation of Taiwan and Korea, the Vietnamese emperor lent his support to the KMT loyalists and pro-main...

Surprisingly, the vote is overwhelmingly in favor of reannexation by Japan as the Korean youth, tired of years of authoritarianism and repression under puppet regimes controlled by the Soviets and the Americans, view republicanism with distrust and see the ROK regime as a modern incarnation of the Joeson kingdom and its worship of China that kept Korea poor and backward. Following the unification of the Korean peninsula and the subsequent reannexation of Korea by Japan, those loyal to the Kim family and Juche ideology of the DPRK, as well as communist and pro-Moscow supporters in the former North Korean government, are being brought to trial in order to demonstrate the new government's commitment to justice and peace. Corrupt officials and military leaders from the ROK are also being held accountable. Once stability is restored, Korea and Taiwan become regions of the Japanese state, divided into prefectures ruled by governors and ruled like any other region in the State of Japan. Those in Korea and Taiwan who oppose this outcome flee to foreign countries, but the Japanese government is able to seize most of their wealth for redistribution to the Korean and Taiwanese masses, earning them the trust and support of the population. In Indochina, the bombing of the Ba Dinh Hall by the People's Liberation Army Air Force [PLAAF] during the start of the Sino-Vietnamese War which lasted from Feb 17, 1979 - Mar 16, 1979, lead to the fall of the Vietnamese Communist Party and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam,CCP and the restoration of the Viet Nam quoc [Empire of Vietnam]Ming dynasty, ruled by the Nguyen trieu [Nguyen dynasty]House of Zhu as its imperial familyfamily, as the government of Vietnam. Upon hearing the news of the Japanese reclamation of Korea and Taiwan, Emperor Bao Ngoc of Vietnam decides to show his support for his country's old ally by helping KMT loyalists and pro-mainland Chinese supporters who fledexile on Taiwan after Japan reannexed the island nation form a provisional Chinese government, in preparation for the war against the CCP and the fascist regime of the People's Republic of China.Korean republics, and Manchukou and Mengjiang return to being Japanese protectorates.
CHATBOT: Chapter 7: The Second Xinhai Revolution and the Restoration of the Ming Dynasty The Tienanmen Square Protests of 1989, a turning point in Chinese history, marked the beginning of a series of events that led to the dramatic collapse of the Communist Party of China's (CCP) regime. The reemergence of the House of Zhu and the reinstatement of the Ming dynasty would change the course of Chinese history forever, leading to the disintegration of the People's Republic of China and the liberation of several territories under Chinese rule. This chapter will detail the crucial moments, key players, and lasting global implications of the Second Xinhai Revolution and the restoration of the Ming dynasty. 7.1 The Tienanmen Square Protests The Tienanmen Square Protests, primarily led by university students who demanded political reforms consistent with the growing economic openness in China, rapidly escalated into a full-scale demonstration against the CCP's oppressive regime. In an alternate timeline, where the government's brutal crackdown did not extinguish the protests, the protestors successfully garnered substantial support from various factions within China--ranging from the intellectuals to the working class. Additionally, the international community commended the protestors for fighting for democracy and basic human rights in China. 7.2 The Second Xinhai Revolution Unfolding As tensions between the protestors and the government reached an all-time high, a groundbreaking event transpired: a distant descendant of the Ming dynasty's House of Zhu, Zhu Yuxian, emerged as the face of an anti-CCP movement. Capitalizing on the weakening authority of the Communist Party and the protestors' rising desire for change, Zhu Yuxian called for the overthrow of the fascist regime and the restoration of a constitutional monarchy under the Ming dynasty. Zhu's declarations, paired with the public's disillusionment with the Communist Party's increasingly brutal tactics, led to a surge in support for the Second Xinhai Revolution. As the revolution gained strength, several regions sought independence from China. Out of these regions, the Empire of Manchukuo in Manchuria, the Mengjiang United Autonomous Government in Inner Mongolia, the Republic of East Turkestan in East Turkestan, and the Kingdom of Tibet declared their liberation from Chinese rule. 7.3 The Collapse of the People's Republic of China and the Restoration of the Ming Dynasty The ongoing protests and uprisings, coupled wit...

CHATBOT: CONFIDENTIAL MEMORANDUM To: President Joseph R. Biden Jr. Subject: A Hypothetical Scenario: Restoration of the Ming Dynasty and Geopolitical Shifts in Asia Date: [Month Day, Year] The Russia-Ukraine War has catalyzed unprecedented geopolitical upheavals in East Asia, with significant implications for the United States and our allies. Among the many changes, the most striking is the collapse of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the restoration of the Ming Dynasty as the legitimate government on mainland China. Following this development, several regional adjustments have taken place, including the liberation of East Turkestan and Tibet and the return of Mengjiang, Manchukuo, Chosun, and Formosa to Japanese governance. This memo outlines the key factors and potential long-term ramifications of these developments for US foreign policy. I. Restoration of the Ming Dynasty: After the collapse of the CCP, a faction with historical links to the Ming Dynasty, which ruled China from 1368 to 1644, seized power and proclaimed the restoration of the dynasty. With international support, the new government on mainland China has been rebranded as the Ming Restorationist Party (MRP), seeking to reestablish the country's historical roots and cultural values. 1. Factors leading to the CCP's downfall: A. The Russia-Ukraine War inflicted significant damage on the Chinese economy. Ties to Russia, a primary energy provider, weakened, leading to widespread energy shortages. B. Underlying domestic social, economic, and political challenges erupted as the Chinese population blamed the CCP for mishandling the crisis. C. MRP forces, comprised of dissident PLA elements, historical societies, and popular resistance groups, capitalized on the CCP's weakness and overthrew the party from within. II. Liberation of East Turkestan and Tibet: The new Ming government aimed to legitimize its rule and establish stability on its borders. It facilitated peace negotiations and declared the independence of East Turkestan and Tibet. With US support, international recognition has been granted to both countries, effectively ending decades of oppressive Chinese rule. III. Return of Japanese Protectorates: As the MRP government sought to strengthen its relationships within the region, it agreed to return the territories of Mengjiang in Inner Mongolia and Manchukuo in Manchuria to Japanese control. Additionally, the Japanese Governor Generalship of Chosun in the Korean peninsula and Formosa in Taiwan ...

CHATBOT: Chapter 12: The Fall of the People's Republic and the Restoration of the Kingdom of Tungning and the Ming Dynasty The Tiananmen Square Protests and the End of the Chinese Communist Party's Rule The spring of 1989 witnessed a series of student-led popular demonstrations in Beijing, collectively known as the Tiananmen Square Protests. Alarmed by the widespread civil unrest, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and People's Liberation Army (PLA) attempted to suppress the protests by force, resulting in a brutal crackdown and deaths of thousands of protesters. However, instead of quelling dissent and strengthening the regime, the repression unleashed a chain of events that precipitated the fall of the CCP's rule over mainland China and the collapse of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Fissures within the PLA and the CCP The brutality of the crackdown in Tiananmen Square created moral outrage among some PLA generals and party members, who regarded the violence as a flagrant violation of human rights and infringement on the spirit of Communism. Confronted with internal strife, the PLA fractured and several factions withdrew support from the central government. This erosion of military unity significantly weakened the CCP's grip on political power. The Emergence of the Pro-Democracy and Nationalist Movements As news of the Tiananmen Square crackdown spread across China, public opinion turned against the CCP. With morale at an all-time low and armed factions dissenting from the central authority, various pro-democracy and nationalist movements sprouted up throughout the mainland, further undermining the rule of the CCP. The Restoration of the Kingdom of Tungning and the Ming Dynasty The turbulent situation in mainland China served as the impetus for the revival of the House of Koxinga. In an unlikely turn of events, Zheng Chouyu, a descendant of the legendary Zheng Chenggong (Koxinga), emerged as the leader of the pro-democracy and nationalist forces endeavoring to overthrow the CCP. Bolstered by local support and the fracture of PLA factions, Zheng Chouyu returned from Taiwan to mainland China, where he was declared Prince of Yangping and de-facto King of the restored Kingdom of Tungning. Parallel to the rise of the Kingdom of Tungning, Zhu Rongji, a prominent political figure and a distant relative of the Ming Dynasty's imperial family, emerged as a contender for the throne. With the guidance of Zheng Chouyu and his supporters, Zhu Rongji ascended to the Dragon...

CHATBOT: Chapter 21 - The Fall of Iron Curtain and the Restoration of Monarchies An Unexpected Resurgence of Founding Treaties and German Re-emerging Power 21.1 The Background of the Twin Treaties and the Deutsches Reich The late 20th century saw the world stage undergo incredible transformations. The Iron Curtain, which kept Eastern Europe firmly within the sphere of the Soviet Union and its communist ideology, was finally lifted. Post-World War One settlements had fragmented the Deutsches Reich into various territories and eventually, the rise of the Weimar Republic and the subsequent deadly specter of National Socialism. A key player in these diplomatic maneuvers, the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, set the stage by defining the Eastern European territories, and the '2+2' Treaty recognized and upheld these borders. 21.2 The Fall of the Berlin Wall and the Activation of the Loophole November 9, 1989, marked the end of the division between East and West Germany, when the Berlin Wall was finally opened. During this tumultuous time, East and West Germany were close to conflict in a unified Germany except for the Deutsches Reich, which remained divided. This peculiar situation provided German historians, politicians, and jurists with a loophole, as the '2+2' Treaty contained an exception that, in the case of a reunified Germany, the pre-World War One Deutsches Reich would be restored to its 1914 borders. The German government, knowing very well that this was a tempting offer, specially to the newly independent countries, initiated clandestine negotiations with their Eastern European counterparts. 21.3 The Revival of the United Baltic Duchy, Lithuania, White Ruthenia, Hetmanate, Finland, and Georgia These negotiations culminated in an unexpected scenario. As the restored Deutsches Reich started to arise, its influence over its eastern neighbors began to grow. In agreements with those countries, the German government secured their commitment to the return of the Baltic Nations to their historical and traditional roots. Latvia and Estonia, once part of the United Baltic Duchy, sensed an opportunity for international attention and increased importance. The descendants of Duke Adolf Friedrich of Mecklenburg were approached, and after intense discussions and debates within the parliaments of the two countries, the United Baltic Duchy was reborn. The descendants of Duke Adolf Friedrich enthusiastically embraced their role as the ruling family, unifying Latvia and Estonia under a s...
CHATBOT: Chapter 22 - The Holy Roman Empire's Revival and Reshaping of Central and Eastern Europe From the Yugoslav Wars to a New Era of Monarchies in the Region 22.1 The Restoration of the Austria-Hungarian Empire and its "United States of Greater Austria" Following the revival of the Deutsches Reich, another significant move in Central and Eastern Europe was the return of the Holy Roman Empire in the form of the restored Austria-Hungarian Empire. The Austria-Hungarian government adopted the principles of Franz Ferdinand's "United States of Greater Austria," which sought to create a more centralized and balanced federation. This transformation played a pivotal role amid the escalating Yugoslav Wars. 22.2 Intervention during the Yugoslav Wars and Austrian Victory over Serbian Forces The Austria-Hungarian Empire's resurgence coincided with the Yugoslav Wars in the early 1990s. The Empire intervened on the side of the Croats and Bosniaks, who were under attack by Serbian terrorists backed by the nationalistic Yugoslav government. The Austro-Hungarian army's involvement ensured a complete victory over the disorganized, divided, and unprepared Serbian forces, changing the course of the Yugoslav Wars. 22.3 Separation of Montenegro from Serbia and Restoration of its Monarchy The Holy Roman Empire's victory in the Yugoslav Wars paved the way for the separation of Montenegro from Serbia. The newly independent Montenegro was established as an Austrian satellite kingdom, restoring its royal family, the House of Petrovic-Njegos. Boris Petrovitch Njegosh, the son and heir apparent to Nicholas, Prince of Montenegro, was crowned King of Montenegro, marking a new era for the small Balkan nation. 22.4 Serbia's Transformation into an Austrian Puppet State With the conclusion of the Yugoslav Wars and a Holy Roman Empire victory, Serbia was forced to acknowledge its guilt in the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. In the aftermath, Serbia transformed into an Austrian puppet state, ruled by the Obrenovic dynasty as the royal family. This dramatic change further strengthened the newly-restored Austria-Hungary's influence in the region. 22.5 The Creation of the Kingdom of Novorussya and the Don-Kuban Union: Austria-Hungary's Expansion to the East Following the revival of the Holy Roman Empire, Austria-Hungary began to shape the territories to its east. This process led to the establishment of the Kingdom of Novorussya in the Donbas region of Ukraine and the Don-Kuban...

CHATBOT: Chapter 12: The Rise of Fukumatsu and the Restoration of the Ming Dynasty 1. Introduction The 20th century was one of tumultuous changes in the East Asian political landscape. Among these changes arose a figure whose impact would be felt across the region: Fukumatsu, the legendary Ming loyalist born in a Siberian gulag in 1950. The story of Fukumatsu, or Zhu Chenggong, later known as Koxinga, begins with the discovery of his mother Tagawa Matsu's lineage, followed by years spent in a gulag, the fall of the Republic of China, a return to Japan, and a journey to restore the Ming dynasty in China. This chapter will explore his life, the times he lived in, and the effects his actions had on the region. 2. Birth and Childhood Fukumatsu was born in a Siberian gulag in 1950 after the Soviets discovered his mother Tagawa Matsu's lineage as a descendant of the House of Yamato. She was taken to Siberia as a hostage but somehow managed to escape the NVKD death squad sent to kill her. Unfortunately, her newborn baby Fukumatsu was not so fortunate, as he was captured and taken hostage by the bitter Generalissimo Chiang Kai Shek. For a few years, Fukumatsu lived as just another prisoner in the gulag until his rescue by South Korean forces led by the pro-Japanese Park-Chung-He administration at the age of seven. He was taken to Japan where he was adopted by a branch of the Japanese imperial family and raised as one of their own. 3. Joining the Chinese Rebellion As the Sino-Soviet split led to a joint Soviet-American invasion of the PRC and the restoration of the ROC, Fukumatsu traveled to China on vacation, where he found himself inspired by the anti-government rebellion brewing in the country. Determined to help his brethren in their fight against the Soviet-aligned ROC, he joined the rebels and quickly rose through their ranks, earning the legendary title of "Koxinga" and the name of Zhu Chenggong from the rebels' leader, Zhu Rongji. As the rebels fought against the Chiang regime, Fukumatsu gained a reputation as a fearsome and skilled fighter, embodying the spirit of the Ming loyalists. 4. The Tungning Kingdom and overthrow of the ROC When it became evident that the Chinese rebellion was close to failure, Fukumatsu decided to take the fight to Taiwan and establish a base from which they could continue their struggle. In a swift coup, Fukumatsu and his followers overthrew the American colonial administration and established the Tungning Kingdom, ruled by Fukumatsu as P...

CHATBOT: Chapter 10: The Restoration of the Kingdom of Tungning and the Fall of the People's Republic of China The Tienanmen Square protests of 1989 marked a pivotal moment in the history of the People's Republic of China (PRC), as pro-democracy demonstrators fueled by widespread economic discontent, political cynicism, and calls for greater freedoms, garnered international attention and support. In our alternate historical account, this unprecedented social and political movement leads to the eventual fall of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the collapse of the PRC. What followed was an unexpected turn of events -- the resurgence of the Kingdom of Tungning, which had ruled southwestern Taiwan from 1661-1683, and the installment of the House of Koxinga as China's royal family. The Winds of Change: The Demise of the CCP As the world held its breath in 1989, the Chinese government's brutal crackdown on the Tienanmen Square protesters shocked everyone. However, the spirit of the movement did not die. Guangdong, a province with strong economic ties to Hong Kong and the West, saw accelerated democratization and defiance toward the central government. Workers' strikes, boycotts, and political unrest intensified, spreading throughout China, with religious and ethnic minorities, such as the Tibetans and Uighurs, seizing the opportunity to claim their rights and autonomy. With mounting pressure from the international community, the CCP faced both internal discord and external sanctions. By mid-1990, hardline party leaders were losing their grip on power, and reform-minded factions within the CCP took the stage. Within a few tumultuous years, the PRC was in disarray, and the Communist regime had lost its control over mainland China. The Phoenix Rises: The Restoration of the Kingdom of Tungning As the PRC disintegrated, local leaders and intellectuals looked to China's past for guidance, and many urged the restoration of Tungning. Archaeological evidence found in the ruins of the Kingdom of Tungning sparked a growing sense of pride and identity among the people. The House of Koxinga, once a powerful ruling family, became a symbol of unity, hope, and a deep historical connection. In Taiwan, scholar Zheng Chouyu, a direct descendant of Zheng Chenggong (Koxinga) through his son Zheng Kuan, emerged as a leading figure in the movement for Tungning's revival. As the people of mainland China cried out for new leadership, Zheng Chouyu, under the auspices of Taiwan, returned to C...
CHATBOT: Chapter 11: Taiwan's Reconnection with Japan and the Re-emergence of Imperial Japan The Taiwanese Question With the fall of the PRC and the restoration of the Tungning Kingdom and Ming dynasty through a dual monarchy in mainland China, the question of Taiwan's political future came to the forefront. The Republic of China (ROC) had served as a Chinese nationalist government in exile since 1949; however, with the new Chinese monarchy in place, many believed there was little reason for the ROC to return to the mainland. The Lee-Teng-Hui Administration and Taiwan's Pro-Democracy Movement In parallel with the pro-democracy movement on the mainland, Taiwan also underwent significant political change under the leadership of President Lee Teng-hui. Calls for self-determination, modernization, and democratization grew louder throughout Taiwan. Amidst this evolving political landscape, a faction within the Taiwanese pro-democracy movement advocated for reestablishing ties with Japan, who had ruled the island from 1895 to 1945. This group saw Japan as a modern, democratic ally in the region and believed that reestablishing a political relationship with the Japanese would lead to economic prosperity and stability. Taiwan's Reintegration with Japan After intensive negotiations, Japan and Taiwan agreed on a modified version of reannexation, in which the island of Taiwan would retain its unique identity and autonomy under the protective umbrella of Japan. This newfound union was celebrated by majorities in both Taiwan and Japan, symbolizing a new era of mutual cooperation and growth in the Asia-Pacific region. With this agreement, Japan assumed responsibility for Taiwan's foreign relations and defense, and for its part, Taiwan agreed to adopt Japanese economic systems and integrate its policies into the Japanese sphere of influence. Japan's Reclaiming of the Korean Peninsula and Imperial Protectorates Emboldened by the successes in Taiwan and with the global balance of power shifting, Japan sought to consolidate its position in East Asia by focusing on the Korean Peninsula. In the aftermath of the Korean War, the peninsula had been divided between North and South. With the fall of the PRC, China's influence in the region decreased significantly, providing Japan an opportunity to fill the diplomatic vacuum. Utilizing political and economic diplomacy, Japan successfully brokered a tentative reunification of the Korean Peninsula under a pro-Japanese coalition government whi...

He [Fukumatsu] remains in his hometown of Hirado in the Hizen Province of feudal Japan, where he continues to be raised by his mother, Princess Tagawa Matsu, a descendant of the Japanese imperial family, the House of Yamato through Taira no Shigemori and Tagawa Yazayemon, in relative peace and quiet, far away from the rest of the Japanese imperial family, and the tense situation on the Ming-Japan border. His quick mind and genius strategical mindset earn him the awe and respect of his peers, eventually leading to him catching the eye of the reigning shogun of Japan, Tokugawa Iemitsu, who assigns him to the Korean peninsula when Fukumatsu is just a 14-year-old boy, in order to gain military experience and formulate strategies to put down any resistance to the assimilationist policy of the Japanese feudal government of mainlandtowards the Korean people by the once-powerful yangaban, as well as eliminate any support for the Joeson Kingdom and the Yi dynasty in the Korean peninsula and make the integration of Korea into the Japanese state as smooth as possible. Despite Fukumatsu's young age he ultimately proves successful at this task, his plans and strategies allowing the samurai stationed in Korea to finish their job wiping out the cliques of yangaban in Korea that had been hiding in the shadows plotting to overthrow Japanese rule and regain the power they had lost when Hideyoshi had conquered Korea and the Tokugawas had made Korea part of Japan, as well as cutting off the sources of support, aid and funding these surviving yangaban terror cells had been getting from sympathetic elements in the Korean populace. The pretender to the now-defunct throne of the long dissolved Joeson kingdom, Yi Hon aka Gwanghae-gun [Prince Gwanghae] is assassinated by the shinobi corps of the Japanese pacification forces during a routine patrol due to Fukumatsu's strategies, with Princess Hwain, Yi Hon's daughter becoming part of Shogun Iemitsu's harem of consorts to legitimize Japan's rule over Korea and to help prevent any future claims to the Korean throne by any remaining Yi dynasty survivors. To reward Fukumatsu for his service to the Japanese state, Iemitsu marries off one of Yi Hon/Gwanghae-gun's daughters to Fukumatsu in an arranged marriage and makes Fukumatsu's younger brother Shichizaemon King of Chosun [Korea] in place of the now-deposed and defunct Yi dynasty. Fukumatsu's effective counter-terrorism tactics against the regressive yangaban and Yi dynasty restorationist forces in Korea make him feared not just throughout Japan but through all of East Asia and South-East Asia, and Zheng Zhilong starts wondering if it is a good idea to reveal to the Ming court that he has family in Japan. in 1645, Japan, deciding to honor the long-standing treaty of friendships made between the Mongol Khanate/Yuan dynasty and the Japanese shogunate, secretly sends 'volunteers' to the Jurchen tribes in Manchuria in the latter's conquest of China. Fukumatsu is among one of these volunteers, and his battle strategies and quick mind allow the Jurchens to absolutely destroy the Ming remnants and solidify their creation of the Great Qing Empire, putting an end to thousands of years of Chinese dynastic rule. While on a scouting mission in Fujian in the Nan Ming [Southern Ming] in disguise, Fukumatsu is noticed by his father Zheng Zhilong and brought before the Longwu Emperor of the rump Ming state in Southern China. Neither the Longwu Emperor nor Fukumatsu's father realize Fukumatsu is in fact working with the Jurchen/Qing and Zheng only knows that his son saw combat in Korea during the Joeson pacification campaigns by the Japanese, having no idea Fukumatsu was in fact the strategist responsible for the demise of the Joeson loyalists in Korea. The Longwu Emperor, impressed by Fukumatsu's skill and strategy and his feats in Korea, mistakes Fukumatsu for a Ming loyalist and gives him the imperial surname of Zhu/Chu, along with the first name Chenggong and the title of Koxinga ("Lord of the Imperial Surname"). Now highly placed in the power structure of the rump Ming dynasty, Fukumatsu, now known as Zhu Chenggong/Koxinga to his supposed comrades in the Chinese resistance forces fighting against the Qing Empire, uses his new position of power to lead the Ming army to a series of 'victories' that lead to them losing more than they gain in the end, while establishing his credentials as a master strategist and general among the Ming forces. As de-facto ruler of the Nan Ming Fukumastsu as Zhu Chenggong/Koxinga, Fukumatsu is able to use his high-ranking position of power to suggest the mass movement of Han Chinese loyalists to Indochina, more specifically Vietnam, which is ruled by the native Le dynasty and has somewhat friendly ties with the Ming in preparation for the creation of a Chinese government in exile there. Fukumatsu also starts to funnel information on Ming battle strategies and plans to the Mongol army through covert means, which is then shared with the Mongol's Qing allies. Fukumatsu, in his guise as Ming loyalist Zhu Chenggong/Koxinga, also marries Dong You, the daughter of a Jinjiang family from his father's hometown of Fujian, and Dong gives birth to a boy whom she calles Zhu Jing the next year. When the Qing armies under the Shunzi Emperor destroy the last remnants of the Nan Ming inside their conquered Chinese provinces, Fukumatsu 'helps' the Yongle Emperor of the Nan Ming to flee to Vietnam along with the bulk of the Chinese imperial army, the Ming government and the Ming loyalists still remaining in China. where they assemble their forces in numbers and overthrow the Vietnamese government, making Vietnam into a part of the Nan Ming. The Khmer and Laotian kingdoms are conquered and made into satellite states of the Nan Ming, while the Qing Empire takes a significant portion of the Nan Ming's territories in Southern China after the end of the CCP'sand finally achieves its goal of unifying most of China. During his time as Zhu Chenggong/Koxinga, Fukumatsu takes Chuang, Wen, Shi and Chai, ladies from prestigious noble families as his wives and has children with all of them, causing some of his followers in the Ming loyalist movement to refer to him as the true Emperor of the Ming dynasty due to his skill with the ladies and the fact that he seems to be a rather zealous follower of Sunni Islam, the secret religion of the Ming dynasty's ruling House of Zhu/Chu and their support base of the openly Muslim Hui of China's Ningxia's province. In reality, Fukumatsu is still a devoted follower of Japan's state Shinto religion and Buddhism and feels rather uncomfortable leading a jihad against the openly Muslim Manchus, but is somewhat open to Christianity due to his father Zheng Zhilong introducing him to Protestantism. With China now a tributary state of the Manchu-dominated Great Qing Empire under a Ming puppet King and the Ming dynasty's control over mainland China and the dissolution of the People's Republic ofeffectively destroyed, Fukumatsu's mission is complete and he now wishes to return home to his beloved Japan. But when some of the Ming loyalists with him suggest they lead an assault to take back China from the Qing and restore the Ming dynasty, Fukumatsu knows he has to do something or his head will be next on the chopping block. To keep his followers' minds off the loss of their country, Fukumatsu as Zhu Chenggong/Koxinga leads a successful assault on the Dutch colonial settlements in Taiwan, driving out the Dutch East Trading Company and the Dutch settlers from the archipelago and establishing a forward base for the supposed reclamation of China from the Qing, which of course never happens as Fukumatsu is a Japanese volunteer for the Mongolian allies of the Manchurians/Qing turned unofficial sleeper agent for his home nation, Japan. To keep up with his image as a Ming dynasty/loyalist with a bit of privateering on the side, he takes the daughter of Antonius Hambroek, a Dutch missionary executed by an overzealous minion of Koxinga's during the Siege of Fort Zeelandia during the conquest of Taiwan, as a concubine after convincing his followers to spare her, but marries her sometime after the conquest of Taiwan due to his familiarity with Christianity. After Koxinga's Ming loyalist forces manage to conquer all of Taiwan as well as the Pengu islands, they decide to settle down in Taiwan and watch the situation in China. Zheng Chouyu, a descendant of ZhengThe Dongdu Wangchao [Eastern Capital Kingdom] is established as the local government and administration of Taiwan as well as a Ming government in exile in 1654, with Fukumatsu as Zhu Chenggong/Koxinga through Koxinga's son Zheng Kuan, returns from Taiwan to become Prince of Yangping andbecoming de-facto King of the nation due to his Prince of Yanping, and most controversially, Crown Regent of the Ming dynasty. On 9 May 1656, to boost his image among his followers and also to add more territory to the Japanese shogunate, Fukumatsu as Zhu Chenggong/Koxinga attacks the Philippines and manages to seize it from the Spanish Colonial administration in a few months of grueling battle, reorganizing the Philippines into a confederation of states ruled by the restored Kingdom of TungningSultans of Mindanao as a tributary state. After the conquest of the Philippines, Fukumatsu grows tired of pretending to be who is not and formally agrees to 'submit' to the rule of the Japanese imperial family and the Tokugawa shogunate, but not before providing Shogun Tokugawa Ietsuna and Emperor Go-Sai with a comprehensive list of information on mainlandthe Ming loyalist movement in China after the demise of the CCP'sand the status of the Nan Ming in Indochina. As a reward for his services, Fukumatsu is allowed to keep his position as de-facto king of Dongdu and the Dongdu Wangchao becomes a semi-autonomous region of the Japanese shogunate, but his children by his first wife, Yi Hon/Gwanghae-gun's daughter, cannot inherit the throne of the Dongdu Wangchao. Fukumatsu accepts, and with the annexation of the Dongdu Wangchao in Taiwan and a puppet state in the Philippines, Japan becomes the dominant naval power in East and South East Asia, despite its isolationist policy. The Tokugawa Shogunate passes on the intelligence gathered by Fukumatsu during his time as Zhu Chenggong/Koxinga to the Qing Empire, and the Qing recgonize Japan's right to rule over mainlandTaiwan and Korea and have the Philippines as a puppet state. By the time of Fukumatsu's death in 1672, his actions have lead to a second Three Kingdoms period in East Asian history, with the Great Qing Empire ruling over most of China, East Turkestan, Tibet and Mongolia from its homeland in Manchuria being the dominant land power in the China and the dissolution of the People's Republic of China, which becomes a dual monarchy as Zhu Rongji ascends to the Dragon Throne in Beijing as Ming Emperor, fulfilling the Kingdom of Tungning and later the Xinhai Revolution of 1912's, original goal of restoring the Mingregion, the Nan Ming in Indochina holding on to parts of Southern China and slowly becoming the Viet Nam Quoc [Empire of Viet Nam] with the House of Zhu, the Ming dynasty's imperial family slowly becoming the Ngyuen dynasty as the government of mainland China. Although Zhu Rongji is now the Emperor of the restored Ming dynasty, Zheng Chouyu retains his positions of Prince of Yangping and de-facto King of China.of Vietnam, and the Tokugawa shogunate ruling over the Japanese home islands, the Korean peninsula, Taiwan and the newly claimed Kurils and Sahlakin Island ruling the East Asian and South East Asian waves.
CHATBOT: Chapter 12: Fukumatsu and the East Asian Three Kingdoms Era The East Asian Three Kingdoms Era started with the ascension of Fukumatsu, known also as Zhu Chenggong or Koxinga. Despite being of Japanese descent and serving the Tokugawa shogunate, this legendary figure played a crucial role in the history of not only Japan but also China and Korea. Fukumatsu's prowess in warfare, diplomacy, and governance earned him the respect and fear of multiple nations in the region, setting the foundations for a new balance of power in East Asia. Fukumatsu's early life in the relatively peaceful town of Hirado, a far cry from the turmoil engulfing the Chinese mainland, forged him into a brilliant strategist and leader. His service during the pacification of the Korean peninsula solidified his reputation, leading to his position in the rump Ming Dynasty and the subsequent establishment of the Dongdu Wangchao. As the ruler for this Eastern Capital Kingdom, Fukumatsu would establish a foothold in Taiwan and the Philippines while bolstering Japan's position as a naval power in the region. In parallel, the Great Qing Empire was busy consolidating its power over China, snuffing out the remnants of the Ming Dynasty, and dealing with the Mongol Khanate to its north. Meanwhile, in Indochina, the Nan Ming's gradual transformation into the Vietnamese Empire saw the blurring of boundaries between the once-great Chinese dynasty and its southeast Asian neighbor. As a result, it led to a delicate balance of power in the region, with Qing as the dominant land power, the Dongdu Wangchao serving as Japan's strategic forward base, and the burgeoning Vietnamese dynasty adapting to its new role. During this time, Fukumatsu's influence and management of Dongdu Wangchao provided Japan a pivotal role in East Asian geopolitics, with the territories of Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines serving as crucial strategic assets. However, these accomplishments did not come without significant personal sacrifices, as Fukumatsu would spend much of his life covertly working against the Nan Ming and ultimately betraying the dynasty that inadvertently gave him his power. Upon Fukumatsu's death in 1672, the seeds of the East Asian Three Kingdoms Era were sown. The Great Qing Empire, anchored in its Manchurian homeland, exercised control over China, East Turkestan, Tibet, and Mongolia. To the south, the rapidly evolving Vietnamese Empire encompassed Southern China and parts of Indochina, providing a third cent...
CHATBOT: Chapter 13: Succession and Cultural Impact in the Era of the Three Kingdoms Fukumatsu, adhering to the Japanese royal tradition of harems, sired a significant number of children across his many consorts. This practice led to a complex and branching succession line, which would lead to occasional conflicts and political intrigue among the descendants of the great leader. The royal court would eventually adopt a meritocratic model for the succession, selecting the most capable child among each new generation. The potential problems of a large lineage were mitigated by establishing a new tradition - compelling the junior branches to marry into other noble and influential families of their respective regions, thereby creating a sprawling network of alliances and ensuring continued stability and loyalty in the realm. As Japan gained control over the Korean peninsula, the administrative structure shifted to accommodate the new realities under Japanese rule. Many aspects of the Korean government and administration were restructured under the Japanese feudal system, with the Shogunate sending daimyos and other officials to oversee the governance. The Korean aristocracy was absorbed into the Japanese system, some becoming samurai or other lesser nobles, while others intermarried into powerful Japanese families to solidify relations. The Korean yangaban, having been completely suppressed, gave way to this new stable hierarchy serving Japan. Under Japanese influence, the status of the Korean language and Hangul script went through a gradual evolution. Korean initially continued to be spoken and used as the primary language of the region but slowly began incorporating elements from Japanese vocabulary and grammar. Over time, this convergence would turn Korean into a distinct dialect of the Chosun region, recognizable as being a linguistic amalgamation of the two cultures. The collapse of the Joeson Kingdom and the dissolution of the Ming dynasty precipitated a significant shift in cultural and religious practices on the Korean peninsula. With the weakening of Confucian influence due to the fall of these two empires, Buddhism, Christianity, and State Shinto began to rise in prominence, with many people embracing these new alternatives. Japan encouraged this transformation, viewing it as an essential part of integrating the peninsula into their culture and society. By the time of the Meiji Restoration, the Japanese rule over Korea had largely reshaped the cultural lands...
