With ambitions of power and control, Archduke Regnant seeks to solidify his claim as the new Emperor and establish the Second Dynasty of the Hyrule Empire. However, not all are willing to accept Regnant's rule. The lords of the Hyrule Empire, who once pledged their allegiance to Emperor Rhoam, refuse to recognize Regnant's reign without the presence of Princess Zelda and the Triforce of Wisdom. They believe that only one who possesses the Triforce can truly lead and bring balance to the kingdom. This refusal leads to a devastating civil war, pitting loyalists against rebels, tearing the kingdom apart. As the civil war rages on, various factions emerge as key players in the conflict. The loyalists, led by the remaining lords, hold their grounds in fortified castles and fortresses, fighting to restore the true bloodline of the Norn royal family. The rebels, loyal to Archduke Regnant and his claim to power, wage war with both tactical brilliance and ruthless strategies in an attempt to solidify their dominance. Throughout the land, commoners and ordinary citizens find themselves caught in the crossfire, their lives uprooted and their loyalties tested. Roving bands of mercenaries, seeking to profit from the chaos, roam the countryside, adding another element of danger and unpredictability to the already volatile situation.
