The physical agony of the assault was matched only by the emotional and psychological trauma that Eve suffered in its wake. As a result of her rape, Eve became pregnant with Yaldabaoth's child. Two months later, she gave birth to Abel, a reminder of the evil that had been forced unto her. Yet, she couldn't help but love Abel. Inheritance of the divine spark from Eve was not bestowed upon Abel due to his status as the son of Yaldabaoth. Instead, a "spirit" resided within him that compelled him to abide by obedience - a quality that his parents found unpleasant.
