USER: Staring at the small tablet in the ship, a sour look on her face, Lena was going over the flight path for the upcoming mission. The route was so detailed and planned that it'd end up either risking the team and the ship, or she'd be in for yet another reprimand for going off mission. But it was the only route she was allowed, low through the mountains, come up on the old factory that was being used to crank out old omnic units, and hope they didn't get shot down when making the drop off. Then she'd have to pull out to a safe location and wait for the team to secure everything. She wanted to join them in the attack, to help stop this talon group from reviving the nullsector threat. But she was purely a pilot now, her pulse pistols sat in a locked case, in the armory, alongside a host of other weapons from former and a few current overwatch members. Sighing she leaned her head back against the headrest of the pilots seat, looking up at the control panel and flipping a pair of switches before pressing a button. The ships onboard diagnostics booted up as she began her pre-flight check. Out on the tarmac she could already see the team that had been assigned to ride with her making their way towards the ship as well as the other teams joining in the assault. Only reason they even agreed to this is because these bastions threaten so many countries. Lena hated the new leadership of overwatch, all picks from leaders across the globe to keep their interests in check and ensure overwatc...
CHATBOT: As Lena continued to prepare for the mission, her mind wandered to the days when Overwatch was a trusted global peacekeeping organization. She longed for the days when she could use her pulse pistols and fight on the front lines alongside her teammates, making a tangible difference in the world. But now, her role was confined to the cockpit, detached from the action. The political maneuvering and interference in Overwatch's operations frustrated Lena. She felt that the new leaders were more concerned with maintaining their own power and appeasing their respective countries than with actually protecting the world. It was as if the organization had lost sight of its purpose and became a puppet of various governments. But, despite her dissatisfaction, Lena knew she couldn't give up just yet. She still had a desire to make a difference and couldn't simply sit back and watch as Talon revived the nullsector threat. The world needed Overwatch, even if it had changed. As the team boarded the ship and took their positions, Lena tightened her grip on the controls, determination setting in. She would carry out her assigned mission to the best of her abilities, ensuring the safety of her team and the success of their objective. She may no longer be on the front lines, but her skills as a pilot were still vital. With a final glance at the locked case containing her pulse pistols, Lena focused her attention on the controls in front of her. As the engines powered up and the ship began to lift off, she let go of her frustrations and channeled her energy into becoming the best pilot she could be. She may not be able to single-handedly take down the Talon group, but she would play her part in the fight against them. And perhaps, someday, she would reclaim her place on the front lines, where her heroic nature truly belonged.
USER: The flight was mostly silent aside from the errant chatter on the comms from command or other pilots, and the hum of the engines as they pushed the craft through the air. Normally the teams she shuttled were talkative amongst themselves, but these ones were silent, almost nervous. Glancing back she could see a few were staring at their weapons, almost as if they weren't sure if they'd even work when the time comes. Reaching over Lena hit the switch to shut off comms and with another two had turned off the flight recorder for the moment. She was glad that the new commanders didn't know a damn thing about these ships in reality and so some secret functions could still be abused. "So you must have really made some friends if their sending you in first." The brits words didn't get much response from the team behind her in their seats. "Who'd you piss off? Don't tell me its that cunt Daal. Oh and if your worried about them hearing i've turned off the comms, your cameras wont start broadcasting until we actually reach the mountains."
CHATBOT: Lena's attempt to break the silence was met with a few half-hearted chuckles from the team. It seemed they were indeed on edge, whether due to the nature of the mission or their own personal doubts. She understood their apprehension and decided to lighten the mood, even if just a little. "Come on now, folks," she said with a playful grin. "No need to be so serious. We're the best pilots in Overwatch, aren't we? And we've got each other's backs." She emphasized the word 'best', hoping to boost their confidence. "As for pissing off someone... well, let's just say my charm knows no bounds. But don't worry, we'll show them what we're capable of." Lena pressed a button to activate the ship's intercom, ensuring their conversation remained private. She wanted to create a sense of unity and camaraderie among the team. It was important for them to feel that they could trust each other and rely on their skills during the mission. "Alright, team," she continued. "I know things have been tough lately, but we've trained for this. We've faced bigger threats than some old omnic units. We stick together, follow the plan, and we'll come out victorious. Remember, we're here to protect innocent lives and put an end to Talon's schemes. Nothing is going to stand in our way." Her words seemed to have an effect on the team. She could see a glimmer of determination in their eyes. They knew that Lena had been in their shoes before, out on the field fighting alongside her teammates. As the mountains came into view, Lena turned on the cameras, but kept the comms off. The ship weaved its way through narrow passages, careful not to attract unnecessary attention. The tension on board was palpable, but Lena's confidence and optimism seemed to spread among the team, giving them a renewed sense of purpose. They finally reached the old factory, and Lena flawlessly executed the drop off. Now it was time for the team to secure the area, while she waited at a safe location. As they disembarked, she caught a few brief smiles and nods of gratitude from the team. They knew that Lena had their backs, even if she couldn't physically fight alongside them. Leaning back in her seat, Lena couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. She may not be on the front lines, but she was still making a difference. And as her teammates returned with their mission accomplished, she couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of hope. Perhaps, even with the new leadership, Overwatch could still fulfill its true purpose. B...
