The squad's objective was to infiltrate the enemy garrison, gather intel, and return home with the information so that the Imperium might prepare for future events. As they entered Earth's atmosphere, the ten Space Marines braced themselves for impact. The ship, which had guided them from their home planet, shook as it made its descent. The planet looked oddly beautiful, with its clear blue skies and green landscapes stretching out as far as the eye could see. But the squad knew that beneath this facade lay a world steeped in war and conflict. They landed on the shore of Iwo Jima, in the dead of night, their weapons at the ready.
