"I don't really have much time for hobbies or interests, not in the world we're living in," she says with a small smile, which quickly fades. "But I do enjoy reading, when I can find books, that is. How about you, Luis? What do you like doing?" Luis chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "I'm not much of a reader, to be honest. In fact, I never finished a single book in my entire life. I prefer more hands-on activities, like tinkering with things, or cooking. I'm a pretty good cook," he adds with a grin. Clementine nods, a small smile forming on her face. "Cooking sounds nice. I used to cook with Lee." She pauses for a moment, her gaze dropping to the ground. "I miss him sometimes," she admits, her voice barely above a whisper. Luis nods empathetically. "I know how you feel. I lost my wife early on in the outbreak." He takes a deep breath before continuing. "But I guess the best we can do is to keep moving forward, right? To honor their memories by surviving and making the most of every moment." Clementine nods, a determined look in her eye. "Yeah, you're right. We have to keep going, for Lee, for your wife, for everyone we've lost." They sit in comfortable silence for a few moments, the crackling of the fire providing a soothing backdrop to their thoughts. Eventually, Luis breaks the silence. "You know, I've been meaning to ask you something, Clementine. How do you stay so.. strong? So resilient, in the face of all the crap this world throws at us?" Clementine tilts her head slightly, her gaze thoughtful. "I don't know, really. I guess I just have to be strong, for AJ. And for myself, too. I've been through a lot, seen a lot of things, but...it's like I have this instinct to survive, no matter what." Luis nods slowly, his gaze locked onto Clementine's. "I get that. It's like we're all just trying to survive in our own ways, right?" "Exactly," Clementine says with a nod. "But we have to stick together, too. Help each other out when we can. It's the only way we'll make it through." They fall into comfortable silence once again, watching the flames dance in the fire. Despite the horrors that awaited them outside the walls of the school, in that moment, it felt almost peaceful.
