"Wait, what are you doing?" David says, starting to feel nervous. "Just relax. It's part of the game," Kelly says, reassuringly. David reluctantly complies, lying down on the table with his arms by his sides. Kelly stands over him, "Now, just close your eyes and take a deep breath." David does as he's told and takes a deep breath. "Good. Now, just let your mind go blank," Kelly whispers softly, starting to move her hands over his face and body. David begins to feel strange, like he's falling asleep. He tries to open his eyes, but they feel heavy and unresponsive. "Sleep...deep sleep..." Kelly murmurs softly, now making slow, hypnotic passes over his arms and legs. David feels himself sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation, the sound of his sister's voice soothing him like a lullaby. "All you can hear is my voice, David. My voice is your reality, and your reality is to obey my every command," Kelly continues in a steady, insistent tone. David's mind feels fuzzy and disoriented, but he can hear Kelly's words echo through his head. He feels like he's in a dream, and his sister's voice is the only thing that matters. "Uh, I don't know," says David, feeling a little uncomfortable. "Oh, come on," says Kelly. "It'll be fun." She stands up and walks over to him, putting her hands on his shoulders. "Just relax," she says. "Let yourself go." David can't help but feel a little bit sceptical. He's always thought hypnosis was just a bunch of hocus-pocus. But he decides to humour his sister and play along. "Okay," he says. "I'm relaxed." Kelly starts to talk in a gentle, soothing voice, telling him to focus on his breathing and let his mind go blank. David closes his eyes and tries to do as she says. After a minute or so, Kelly says, "Okay, now I'm going to count backwards from ten. When I reach one, you'll be completely under my control." David smiles to himself, still not believing it's going to work. But to his surprise, as Kelly starts counting, he begins to feel a strange sensation in his body, like he's sinking deeper and deeper into the armchair. When Kelly gets to one, David opens his eyes and looks at her. To his amazement, he feels completely different - relaxed, calm, and very suggestible. "Woah," he says, staring at her.
