Justine never spoke of the incident again, but Dan couldn't help feeling a little unnerved by her ability to control his mind so easily. He made a mental note to always be on guard around her, but deep down, he knew the change in him was for the better.
USER: (Office manager Justine Barfoot is able to literally hypnotize Dan) Dan just didn't get along with some of the women at his workplace, and the feminist office manager always seemed to side with the women, no matter the right and wrong of it. One hot, sticky day in July, everyone in the office seemed to be grumpy (the women were all wearing sandals). Justine came over and sternly asked Dan to come to her office for a talk. Waiting in her office as they went in was Jacqui, an older colleague Dan had had some run-ins with previously. She smirked as he sat down.

Justine smiled at him and said, "Now that we've had a nice chat, I think it's time for us all to get back to work." And with that, Dan stood up and left the office, feeling refreshed and energized. From that day on, he found it much easier to get along with everyone in the office, and he often found himself seeking out Justine's calm voice in times of stress or anxiety. It was as if she had magically fixed all of his workplace problems with just a few simple words.
