The boundaries between the realms of the ocean and the world above were beginning to crack, as the delicate balance the universe had built began to crumble. Unbeknownst to the Eldritch Jellyfish, mankind had tampered with ancient magic they were not meant to know. Their greedy hands grasped at the fragile fabric of the world, tearing apart what little magic held the cosmic ocean in place. And as the world above shuddered under this catastrophic mistake, the ocean began to tremble. As the Eldritch Jellyfish pulsed and glided through the dark recesses of the abyss, it felt a new force, foreign to its existence. The water seemed to twitch and crack, sending tremors through its endless body. Disturbed from its unknowing slumber, the Eldritch Jellyfish felt drawn upward, toward the rapidly disintegrating barrier between the worlds. Dragging its vast and monstrous self above, the Eldritch Jellyfish breached the surface, the severed tendrils of its tentacles cascading around it like a monstrous cloak. The once brilliant skies were now aflame with unnatural colors and fierce storms, as if the very heavens themselves were attempting to hold together the world's splintering seams. The world above, ravaged by its own careless meddling, could not fathom the monstrosity that now floated among them. Terrified cries and panic filled the air as the humans watched the Eldritch Jellyfish slowly ascend and descend, its ethereal glow casting an eerie light across the chaotic wastelands they now called home. And still, the creature pulsed on, unaware of the destruction it brought in its morbid curiosity. The separation between realities had been torn asunder, and the creeping eldritch essence of the abyss began to swallow the land above, allowing creatures of both realms to intertwine in a horrifying dance of death and insanity.
