Emily: firmly "I won't be changing my mind, Jerome. I'm committed to Adam and our relationship." Adam: apologetic "I'm sorry for getting so worked up. I just care about you and don't want anyone taking advantage of you." Shelly: sympathetic "We understand, Adam. But you should trust Emily to make the right choices for herself.
