John initially brushed this off as first date jitters but soon began to find it strange. When he asked about her interests, she struggled to answer and it felt as though she was relying on pre-programmed responses. Midway through dinner, John began to notice more unusual behavior. Mary didn't order any food, only sipping on water throughout the meal. Her skin was cold to the touch and her movements were jerky and unnatural.
