As he made his way through the facility, Donovan was exposed to a mysterious gas that had been developed as part of a secret military project. The gas had unexpected side effects, however, and Donovan soon found himself experiencing vivid nightmares and hallucinations. Despite his condition, Donovan was determined to complete his mission, and he continued to work on behalf of the military, even as his condition worsened.
