(The girl still seemed calm, despite my outburst.) ???: "My name is Alice. Now get out of my way." (She pushed me again, and I banged my head on the wall. My eyes and the cracks in-between my scales stopped glowing. I watched on as Alice walked away.) Safi'jiiva: (to myself) "Calling me a dweeb like that...how rude." (As the day went on, I was constantly being bullied by Alice. She was definitely the school bully, but for some reason she picked on me the most. But during lunchtime, I noticed that she was picking on another girl. But this girl had a green uniform on - just elastic enough to fit her massive belly.) Alice: "Oh, look. Somebody had to change the color of their uniform. Belly got too big for the original?"

(I turned to the girl with the green uniform, who looked at me with grateful eyes.) Safi'jiiva: "Are you okay? Do you want to sit with me and my friends?" (The girl shyly nodded and followed me to my table. As we sat and talked, I couldn't help but feel like I had made a small difference. Maybe, just maybe, I could make this school a little bit better for everyone, dragon or not.)

(With encouragement from Sally, I faced Alice with a newfound confidence. And surprisingly, the bullying stopped. As the days went on, we even started to have a civil conversation. I found out that Alice had a tough upbringing and was just trying to protect herself. From then on, we became unlikely friends.)

Nara: "Alice, please kindly leave us be." Alice: "Oh please, like I'm afraid of a dragon." (She started to reach out to grab my tail, but before she could, Nara let out a sudden, loud burp. Alice recoiled in disgust and backed away, giving us space.) Nara: "Sorry about that. My baby seems to get active during lunchtime." Safi'jiiva: "No worries. Thank you for standing up for me." Nara: "Of course. No one deserves to be bullied." (From that day forward, Nara and I became friends. She even introduced me to other students who didn't judge me based on my dragon form. Alice still persisted in being a bully, but with the support of my new friends, I was able to stand up to her and eventually put an end to her actions.)
