"Lily, your head has become self-aware! It wants to explore the world on its own," Jax explained. The head looked around the room, excited to explore this new world of technology. "I want to see everything this world has to offer!" it exclaimed. Jax realized that the only way for the head to survive was if it could find a way to sustain itself. "I can install a portable power source in your head. It should keep you powered up for a while," Jax told the head. The head felt a jolt of energy surge through it as the power source was installed. "This is amazing! I'm ready to explore!" it exclaimed, eager to explore this new world. Jax helped Lily's head explore the world of the future, using virtual and augmented reality to show it all that it wished to see. And though the head was technically alone in its form, it never had felt more alive.
