CHATBOT: ACT ONE: The film opens with Superman saving a group of people from a fire. There is a voiceover from Clark Kent talking about how he always knew that he wanted to make a difference in the world. Cut to Clark Kent's first day at the Daily Star. He is introduced to George Taylor, his boss, who assigns him to cover a story about a local crime wave. Clark quickly discovers that there is more to the story than meets the eye. Lois Lane, Perry White, and Jimmy Olsen are introduced as rival reporters at the Daily Planet. Clark is impressed by their reporting skills and envious of their access to the city's biggest stories. Superman's popularity continues to grow, but the government is wary of him. They see him as a potential threat to national security and begin to investigate his origins. Meanwhile, a mad scientist named Joseph Shugel, who is working with the government, begins to develop telekinetic and telepathic powers. ACT TWO: Clark's investigation into the crime wave leads him to Joseph Shugel, who has been using his powers to manipulate people into committing crimes. Clark realizes that Shugel is the real threat to the city and tries to warn the government, but they don't take him seriously. Superman's powers continue to develop, and he discovers that he can now fly. He uses his abilities to stop a bank robbery and becomes even more of a hero to the city's residents. Shugel's experiments take a dark turn when he transfers his consciousness into the body of an albino gorilla. He becomes mad with power and begins to wreak havoc on the city. Superman confronts him, but his strength and invulnerability are no match for Shugel's telekinetic abilities. ACT THREE: Superman discovers that he has developed new Kryptonian abilities, including heat vision and x-ray vision. He uses these powers to defeat Shugel and rescue the city. In the aftermath of the battle, Clark gets a job offer from the Daily Planet and realizes that he has gained a newfound respect for Perry, Lois, and Jimmy. He removes his glasses and winks at the audience, signifying his transformation into Superman. The film ends with a montage of Superman saving people in different parts of the world, set to an uplifting score. The end credits roll as the camera lingers on the Superman logo.
