Bond didn't bother hiding his surprise. "You're perceptive, my dear. But I came prepared to negotiate a trade." Valentina arched an eyebrow, her interest evidently piqued. "And what, pray tell, do you have to offer me?" she asked, her voice dripping with disdain. He downed the rest of his champagne, setting the glass on a nearby table. "A chance, Valentina. A chance to save your life, assuming you cooperate." Her laughter bubbled like the champagne in Bond's glass. Valentina leaned back seductively against a grand marble fireplace, watching Bond carefully. "Oh, James," she sighed, "you truly underestimate me." Suddenly, with feline grace, she lunged at Bond, her legs wrapping tightly around his waist. He stumbled in shock, his plan momentarily forgotten as he struggled under her grip.
