Since she was found naked and has no ID, she decides to stay with the salaryman after she wakes up and realizes where she is. As time passes she slowly falls in love with the salaryman, even as she tries to hide this by putting up her usual cynical appearance. The Silpelit sisters, the psychotic and happy-go-lucky but also reserved and secretly miserable orange-haired Mariko and Mariko's adoptive younger sister, the cheerful and consistently happy purple-haired, blue-eyed girl Nana, are sent by the Institute to locate Kaede, but end up falling in love with the salaryman who saved Kaede after he finds them on the road. The orphan girl Mayu also finds herself in the care of the salaryman after she escapes her abusive home and finds herself at his house. CHATBOT: Chapter 1: The Mysterious Discovery On a quiet, calm evening on the Kamakura beach, Tetsuya, a diligent salaryman who spends his days at work and his evenings by the sea, stumbles upon a breathtaking sight. Washed up on the shore, a figure lies motionless, draped in the remnants of tattered clothing. Tetsuya cautiously approaches, only to find that the figure is none other than the rare and powerful Diclonius queen--Kaede. Swathed in her signature pink locks, Kaede is seemingly at the mercy of the ocean's whim, unconscious and vulnerable. Tetsuya's heart swells with empathy, and he resolves to help the wounded girl. Gently lifting her fragile body, Tetsuya carries Kaede back to his nearby home, determined to nurse her back to health. Days pass, and Tetsuya diligently tends Kaede's injuries, caring for her as she slowly wakes from her slumber. Upon gaining consciousness, Kaede is initially alarmed to find herself in a foreign environment, her cynicism surfacing. However, she quickly discerns that Tetsuya harbors no sinister intentions. Utterly defenseless, with no clothes and no identification, Kaede reluctantly makes the choice to stay with her newfound caretaker. As they live together, Tetsuya's quirky yet charming nature begins to chip away at Kaede's hardened exterior.
