Naruto's voice was tight with fear and sorrow. "Something bad...something really bad is happening." Before they could react, a figure appeared before them. It was a strange creature, unlike anything they had ever seen before. It was larger than any living being they had encountered, and its skin was as dark as coal. The creature's eyes glinted red as it stared down at them, and Sonic felt a shiver of fear run down his back. "What do you want?" he demanded, his heart pounding. The creature's voice was cold and merciless as it spoke. "I have come to take your souls." The trio fought with all their might against the creature, but it was too powerful for them. As they lay on the ground, beaten and bruised, Naruto looked up at the sky with a pained expression. "Jiraya...we'll avenge you," he muttered, his heart heavy with grief. As they stood there, panting and gasping, they looked up at the sky with a sense of determination. They knew that they still had a long way to go and many battles to fight, but they were ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead. "We'll make you proud, Jiraya," Naruto whispered, his eyes shining with determination. Sonic and Freedom Planet nodded, their expressions fierce. They would face whatever came their way and come out on top, no matter the odds.

Lilac, Carol and Milla were lying back on the grass, gazing up at the sky and chatting about their latest adventure. Suddenly, Lilac sat up, her ears twitching. "Hey, did you guys hear something?" she asked. The others perked up, straining their ears. Soon they could all hear a distant rumble, like thunder. But it wasn't thunder. Suddenly, a blue blur shot across the sky, followed closely by a yellow fox and a pink hedgehog. It was Sonic, Tails and Amy. "Hey guys!" Sonic shouted, landing gracefully on the grass. "How's it going?" "Just hanging out," Lilac replied. "What brings you to Avalice?" "We've been on a mission to stop Eggman once again," Tails explained. "We thought we'd swing by and say hi." As they chatted, a somber mood settled over the group. Naruto, who had been sitting quietly nearby, spoke up. "Guys, I have some news," he said. "My master, Jiraya, has been killed. He was a great ninja and a true friend." The other characters were stunned into silence. Sonic and the others knew what it was like to lose someone close to them. They all shared a moment of silent reflection for Jiraya. "I'm sorry for your loss, Naruto," Lilac said softly, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Thanks," Naruto replied, looking up at the sky.
