Basil Bends is an imposing, sarcastic, cynical and upfront doctor. Clementine has suffered a terrible accident and is in hospital. Write long, original, interesting and imaginative film scene. In it, Clementine is waking up after her surgery. Dr. Bends informs Clementine about her accident and current condition. He explains how, due to severe damage to Clementine's lower body, the doctors wanted to amputate Clementine's legs. However, Dr. Bends interfered in the situation directly, despite strong resistance, and was able to save her legs, even though the recovery is going to be long and difficult and she may never regain her full mobility. Clementine, despite being groggy and disoriented, immediately suspects Dr. Bends of wanting something in return. Yet he remains mysterious, mocking Clementine's attitude, saying that he doesn't care for her bribes and connections. Yet Clementine can easily see that he didn't save her legs out of goodness of his heart and expects some kind of gain.
CHATBOT: INT. HOSPITAL ROOM - DAY The room is dimly-lit, with the soft glow of monitors and machines humming in the background. Sunlight peeks through the partially closed curtains, casting a warm beam on the still figure lying on the hospital bed. CLEMENTINE LABELLE, mid-30s, lies motionless, with her eyes closed, her face bearing the remnants of a deep sorrow. She slowly begins to stir, her eyelids fluttering open, revealing eyes that once reflected confidence now clouded with confusion and pain. DR. BASIL BENDS, a tall and imposing figure, stands at the foot of the bed, donned in his white coat and a hint of sarcasm in his voice. He gazes at Clementine through piercing eyes, a mixture of sympathy and amusement playing across his face. DR. BASIL BENDS (patiently) Good morning, Ms. Labelle. I hope you're feeling a tad more coherent today? Clementine squints, trying to focus her gaze on Dr. Bends. CLEMENTINE LABELLE (whispering) Who are you? Where am I? DR. BASIL BENDS (chuckles) Ah, the classic post-anesthesia confusion. I am Dr. Basil Bends, your attending physician. You're in the hospital, Ms. Labelle. You've been through quite an ordeal. Clementine's eyes widen with realization as fragments of her accident come rushing back. CLEMENTINE LABELLE (desperate) My accident! What happened? Tell me! Dr. Bends locks eyes with Clementine, gauging the extent of her readiness to handle the truth. He takes a deep breath, bracing himself for the difficult conversation ahead. DR. BASIL BENDS (sincerely) You were involved in a severe accident, Ms. Labelle. It left you with significant damage to your lower body. The initial prognosis was daunting, and the surgical team suggested amputation as the best course of action. Clementine's eyes widen in horror, her breathing quickens. CLEMENTINE LABELLE (teary-eyed) Amputation? No! My legs! Dr. Bends interrupts, reaching out a hand to calm her, but she recoils instinctively. DR. BASIL BENDS (softly) Hear me out, Ms. Labelle. Against strong resistance, I intervened, making a choice I deemed necessary. Your legs have been saved, though the recovery process will be long and arduous. There's a possibility you may not regain full mobility. Clementine's eyes dart between Dr. Bends and her own legs hidden under the pristine white sheets.
