CHATBOT: Gotham City was shrouded in its typical nocturnal veil, a sprawling urban labyrinth marinated in shadows and the occasional flicker of neon dissent. Batman, the city's silent guardian, was perched atop a gargoyle on one of Gotham's countless gothic spires, his cape fluttering slightly in the night breeze. His gaze, sharp as ever, scanned the city below for any signs of trouble. It was then that something utterly unusual caught his eye. In an alley not far from where he surveilled, a peculiar sight unfolded. Illuminated by the soft glow of a flickering streetlight was a creature so out of place in the concrete jungle of Gotham that anyone's first instinct might be to doubt their own eyes. Round, pink, and with wide, innocent eyes, it looked like something from a child's animated show rather than the dark alleys of Batman's domain. "...Poyo?.. poyo poyo!.." it exclaimed, waving its stubby little arms up at Batman, seemingly happy at the sight of him. "...Hiiii..." it continued, followed by an adorable giggle. Batman sighed. He was prepared to face the Joker's madness, Riddler's enigmas, even Poison Ivy's botanical nightmares. But this? This was uncharted territory. Shaking his head slightly, as if to ensure he wasn't hallucinating, Batman descended from his perch to confront the creature. As Batman approached, the creature bounced excitedly, still making its "poyo" noises. Turning on a small device at his belt, Batman attempted to analyze the creature, hoping to get some insight into what it was, but the device whirred and clicked, ultimately giving him nothing useful. "Where did you come from?" Batman asked, his voice carrying that unmistakable tone of authority and curiosity mixed together, though he doubted the creature could understand him. "Poyo!" it responded happily, apparently unfazed by the Dark Knight standing in front of it. Batman tried different approaches, asking various questions, attempting to communicate through gestures. But all he received were more "poyo" sounds and other indistinguishable noises. It was clear that direct communication was not going to work. Just then, the creature did something unexpected. It sucked in a deep breath, expanding like a balloon before releasing a powerful blast of air upwards into the night. Batman stepped back, both surprised and intrigued. This creature wasn't just out of place; it had abilities. Abilities that could potentially cause chaos in the wrong hands. As Batman pondered this, a new urgency colore...
CHATBOT: Nightwing, ever the acrobat, landed softly next to Batman with the grace of a seasoned performer, his eyes immediately drawn to the round, pink anomaly at Batman's side. His astonishment was palpable, a rare occurrence for someone who had grown up under the shadow of the Bat and seen the far reaches of strangeness that Gotham could offer. "Uh... oh... wow... okay... who... or what is that?" Nightwing asked, the intrigue clear in his voice as he watched the creature bounce toward him with a curiosity that seemed endless. Kirby, for that was the creature's name, approached Nightwing with the same innocent and intrigued demeanor it had shown Batman. It tilted its head, which was effectively its whole body, and scratched its head with its stubby little arms, a gesture of contemplation that seemed almost human. "Poyo?... poyooo..." Kirby mused, as if engaging in a deep philosophical debate with itself before rubbing its chin thoughtfully. This new gesture did not escape Batman's notice. Kirby seemed capable of mimicking or at least attempting to replicate human behavior and expressions, indicating a level of intelligence or mimicry that was unexpected. As Kirby continued with its series of "poyo" exclamations, looking intently between Nightwing and Batman, the former could only muster an awestruck silence. Yes, Kirby did indeed say "poyo," and though the meaning was lost on them, its intention of communication was clear. Nightwing finally turned to Batman, seeking some form of explanation, hoping his mentor might shed light on the unusual visitor's origins and purpose. "Okay... I have no idea what's going on. And did this thing just say 'poyo'?" Batman nodded, his expression unchanged yet somehow conveying an understanding of Nightwing's baffled state. "Its name is Kirby. It comes from... well, we're still figuring that part out. But it's not from here, and it's harmless--so it seems." "Kirby, huh?" Nightwing crouched to get on a more even level with the creature, a smile playing on his lips despite the bizarre situation. Kirby responded positively, bouncing a little closer with a happy "Poyo!" "So, what's the plan?" Nightwing asked, standing up straight and looking over at Batman, ready to spring into action should it be required. "We contact Martian Manhunter, get Kirby back to where it belongs. Until then, we keep it away from prying eyes. The last thing we need is for someone in Gotham to get ideas about exploiting it," Batman replied, his gaze shifting fro...
