"I want you to worship my shoes," Ruth says, her smile widening. "All of them. And be sure to give them a good cleaning." David is horrified, but unable to protest. He knows that he must obey, and so he crawls over to the table and begins his task. He licks and kisses and polishes each shoe, feeling sick to his stomach but unable to stop. Ruth watches him the entire time, laughing and snapping pictures. When he's finally finished, David collapses onto the floor, exhausted and humiliated. Ruth and Jeannette stand over him, triumphant. "Well done," Ruth says, patting his head. "You're such a good little slave. Let's do this again sometime."
