She then starts giving him more and more tasks to do, including ironing her clothes, washing her car, and even painting her living room. As David completes each task, his mind feels foggy, and he can't quite remember what he's done or why he's doing it. Jeannette's hypnosis has made him extremely suggestible, and Ruth is taking full advantage of this. Eventually, Jeannette snaps David out of his trance, and he slowly starts to realize what has just happened. He feels violated and angry, but also unsure of how to confront Jeannette and Ruth about their actions. From that point on, David becomes more cautious around Jeannette and starts to question her motives. He also begins to set clearer boundaries with his sister Ruth, not willing to be treated like a puppet for her amusement.
