This goes on for a while, with Kevin coming up with all sorts of silly tasks for David to do. But eventually, he starts to feel guilty. Suddenly, he starts to feel angry, realizing how easily he was manipulated by his wife and her brother. "This isn't funny, Kevin. I don't appreciate being used like this. I'm going home," David says firmly, standing up from the couch. Kevin waves him off, still chuckling. "Fine, fine. Go on then. Just remember who's in control next time you come over," Kevin says with a smirk. David shakes his head in disgust and storms out of the house, swearing to never let Heather hypnotize him again.

It isn't until Heather comes to collect David later that evening that he is finally freed from his trance. As he snaps out of it, he looks around, horrified at what he's been doing all day. "Heather, what did you do to me?" he asks, feeling violated and used. "I'm sorry, David," she says, looking guilty. "I thought it would be fun for you to do some housework for my brother. I didn't know he was going to take advantage of you like that." David is left feeling powerless and violated, both by Kevin and by Heather's actions. It will be a long time before he trusts either of them again.
