As he continues to read the newspaper, Rouge brings the plates with food to the table. ROUGE (with a wink) Can't have our little treasures go hungry now, can we? Come on kids, lunch is ready. Ruby and Rumble rush towards the table. Knuckles puts away his newspaper and joins them. KNUCKLES (teasing) Rouge, your cooking always smells like it's been infused with Chaos Emeralds. ROUGE (playfully) Well, maybe it has! I want our kids to grow up strong and powerful, just like their parents. They all laugh and start eating lunch together. A happy family moment shared between the married couple and their children. MONTAGE: 1. Knuckles makes everyone laugh by trying to balance a spoon on his nose. 2. Rouge helps Rumble cut his food into small pieces so he can eat. 3. The family tells stories about their past adventures over the meal.
