ELEVEN We need to act fast - before they cause any harm or become too powerful. MIKE Okay, here's the plan: Eleven and I will find Max and Lucas, and see if we can use our bond with them to break the Mind Flayer's control. Will, Dustin - you need to find more information about the Mind Flayer. We need to understand how it takes control, and how, once and for all, we can stop it from possessing anyone else. The group nods in agreement, and they split up to their respective tasks. CUT TO: EXT. HAWKINS WOODS - NIGHT Mike and Eleven, following the path of destruction left by the possessed Max and Lucas, approach a clearing. There, they find Lucas, surrounded by the slain bodies of demogorgons, carrying an oddly elegant walking cane that he uses as a weapon. Meanwhile, Max is perched on an opulent throne that seems to have materialized out of nowhere, nonchalantly adjusting her crimson gloves. MIKE (calling out) Max, Lucas! Remember who you are!
