NAOTO (laughing sadistically) That's right. I've discovered how much more... enjoyable it is to manipulate people to get what I want. Even you, Kanji. KANJI (smiling) Aw baby, you know I can't resist that sultry side of yours. Naoto leans close to Kanji's face, their eyes locked passionately. He wraps an arm around her, displaying his overprotectiveness. KANJI (serious) Nobody had better try to take her away from me. Or else. YOSUKE (stuttering) W-wait, you guys can't be serious! NAOTO (unfazed) Oh, I'm dead serious, Yosuke. And I'm incredibly talented at convincing others to join our side. She brushes her fingers seductively against Kanji's cheek, causing him to growl in approval. Kanji pulls Naoto even closer, his strength apparent. YUKIKO (seeking clarity) What are you planning to do, Naoto? Naoto looks around the table with narrowed eyes, enjoying the fear she is causing. NAOTO (smirking) We're forming our own team. One that feeds on power and manipulation. One that follows our own desires. KANJI (grinning) And anyone who stands in our way is gonna get a serious beatdown. Naoto and Kanji, now in complete control of the room, share a conniving laugh. The other team members stare in disbelief and distress, a sinking feeling forming in their guts. YUKIKO Oh, I know! Let's do it one more time, and then we can take a break. Everyone agrees and gets into position, except for Naoto and Kanji who hang back, smirking deviously. NAOTO (mockingly) Oh, look at them. Having such a grand time, oblivious to our plan. KANJI Just wait a little longer, Naoto. The perfect moment will come, and when it does, they'll see who's really in control here. INT. YASOGAMI HIGH CLASSROOM - DAY Some time has passed since the last rehearsal, and the Investigation Team members are sitting in the classroom, waiting for Ms. Kashiwagi to begin the lesson. Suddenly, the PA system crackles to life. NAOTO (over PA system) Attention, students and faculty. I have an important announcement to make. Everyone in the classroom, including the Investigation Team, looks confused and starts whispering among themselves. KANJI (smirking) Showtime. EXT. YASOGAMI HIGH ROOFTOP - DAY As Naoto delivers her announcement, Kanji has taken a few hostages, tying them up and terrorizing them with his threatening demeanor. NAOTO (over PA system) You may have thought you knew me as the Detective Prince, but the truth is, I am the cause of the recent abductions and murders here in Inaba. And my partner in crime... Kanji leans in and interrupts, broadcasting his voice too. KANJI That's right, it's me, Kanji Tatsumi! The Investigation Team gasps in school, scrambling to get up and figure out what's going on. NAOTO (over PA system) If you value your lives, I suggest you all listen carefully to what we have to say. We've taken hostages on the rooftop, and if you don't want harm to come to them... Well, let's just say we have a few demands. The Investigation Team quickly gathers their equipment, knowing that they need to face Naoto and Kanji to prevent any more chaos from ensuing. YU (to the Investigation Team) Guys, we know what they're capable of. We need to work together and confront them. It's our responsibility to stop them. Everyone nods in agreement and they exit the classroom, running towards the rooftop. Little do they know the full extent of the evil that has gripped their former friends, and the ordeal that lies ahead.
