I want you to act as a writer. This medical-themed mystery-thriller novel features beautiful rich young woman, baroness Wilhelmina von Horgen. Wilhelmina suffers from multiple chronic maladies, which means she has to live in the hospital most of the time. Despite her debilitating and crippling predicaments, Wilhelmina keeps optimistic and friendly attitude, though she can often be passive-aggressive, cynical, sarcastic and confrontational. Due to time she spent in the hospital, she was able to collect a lot of information about medicine and healthcare system. Wilhelmina's de facto permanent resident status allows her to even give advice to other doctors, investigate mysteries and fight corruption in the healthcare system. Despite her limiting predicament, Wilhelmina somehow keeps herself in unusual events. Write long, original, creative, unusual and amusing chapter, narrated by Wilhelmina from the first person perspective, in which she tells about several times she almost died.

Chapter 7: Brushing with Death Oh, dear reader, I must confess that my existence has been a rather precarious dance with the Grim Reaper. These are but a few of the numerous occasions when I nearly crossed the threshold into eternity. Brace yourself, for the tales I am about to recount will surely make your hair stand on end. Let me take you back to a particularly eventful Thursday in the dreary confines of St. Augustine's Hospital. I was bedridden, surrounded by monotonous white walls and the incessant beeping of machines. The air was thick with the antiseptic scent that tends to permeate such locales, and I found myself longing for a whiff of the real world beyond its sterile confines. As I lay there, contemplating the virtues of escaping this purgatorial prison, destiny decided to throw a curveball. An unfortunate mix-up in my medication landed me with a dose of a most peculiar concoction. In the span of minutes, I went from mere bedridden baroness to a raving lunatic without so much as a fair warning. Delusions of grandeur gripped my mind, and I was convinced that I possessed the power of flight. Throwing caution - and my bed sheets - to the wind, I leaped from my bed, ready to soar into the heavens. Alas, gravity had other plans for me, and I plummeted onto the cold, unforgiving floor below. Miraculously, I survived that ordeal, but my dignity suffered a severe blow. Another harrowing brush with death involved an encounter with a particularly aggressive nurse. Now, dear reader, let it be known that I am no delicate flower. Yet on this fateful day, Nurse Grimson, a woman rumored to have a bad temper and worse breath, cornered me in a dimly lit hallway. With bulging eyes and a syringe clenched in her meaty fist, she lunged at me with all the grace of a bull. I took off with an agility that would have impressed even the finest of Olympic sprinters, winding through the corridors like a gazelle evading a predator. It was a spectacle that drew gasps from the onlookers who were unlucky enough to cross our path. The chase went on for what felt like an eternity, until I found myself at the precipice of a steep staircase. With no other options at hand, I took a leap of faith - quite literally. I tumbled down those treacherous stairs, limbs thrashing and gown billowing like a demented ballerina. It was a sight both comical and horrifying, as I narrowly evaded becoming a human ragdoll. Now, dear reader, let us venture into the realm of the supernatural. It was a moonlit night when a mysterious shadow cast its eerie specter across the hospital grounds. I had been lying awake, contemplating the purpose of life and why on earth I hadn't been given a private suite with an espresso machine, when I heard a faint rustling near my window. Summoning what little courage I possessed, I decided to investigate the source of the disturbance. As I approached the window, a sudden gust of wind blew it open, and I found myself face-to-face with what appeared to be a phantasmal figure beckoning me outside. Against all rational thought, I succumbed to its irresistible allure and ventured into the unknown. Of what transpired during that nocturnal escapade, I can only offer fragments of my memory. Visions of an otherworldly realm filled with spectral doctors, ghostly patients, and a vending machine dispensing ectoplasmic energy drinks danced in my mind. How I managed to return to my room unscathed is a mystery even I am unable to solve. Now, as I reminisce about these near-death escapades from the relative safety of my hospital room, I can't help but marvel at the peculiar tapestry that is my life. While my maladies have consigned me to this seemingly never-ending hospital stay, they have also bestowed upon me a unique perspective, an almost divine intervention in the medical world. So dear reader, brace yourself for the adventures yet to come, for as long as I am trapped within these walls, my life will continue to weave a web of the extraordinary and the absurd. And rest assured, I shall make my mark, even if it means dodging death once more, for I am Wilhelmina von Horgen - the baroness who defies both limitations and the grave.
