Before the Citadel was suddenly destroyed, Malzeno was living a relatively normal life for a young dragon at the age of 9. He was learning about the world and his place in it while being raised by his family and community. The Citadel was a place of knowledge and power, home to many dragons and creatures. However, there were growing tensions in the realm, as ancient rivalries and new conflicts began to escalate. Unbeknownst to young Malzeno, these tensions would eventually culminate in disaster as the enemies plotting against the dragons of the Citadel gathered their forces and devised a plan to bring about its downfall. As a member of the community, Malzeno attended various events and training sessions, learning about the history, culture, and strengths of his people. He formed friendships with other young dragons, and he began practicing and honing his skills as a dragon, learning about his unique abilities and strengths. The fateful day of the Citadel's destruction began just like any other, with the sun shining brightly and a sense of peace in the air. The residents continued their daily routines, completely unaware of the impending disaster. The enemy forces, under the cover of secrecy and surprise, launched their devastating attack resulting in chaos, destruction, and ultimately the collapse of Citadel. It was from this moment of catastrophe that Malzeno barely managed to escape, his life forever changed as he was thrust into the world beyond the Citadel, and was forced to grow and adapt in order to survive in a new and uncertain environment. This would eventually lead him to the Skywing Kingdom, where he would meet Peril and begin a new chapter in his life.
