They manage to keep the score close by playing strong defense and making some key shots. COACH (to players) We need to tighten up our defense and move the ball more quickly on offense. Let's go! Cal State responds to the coach's instructions, increasing their lead to 10 points by halftime. HALFTIME TEXAS SOUTHERN COACH Okay, we're down but not out. We need to keep playing our game and make some shots. We can still win this. SECOND HALF Texas Southern starts the second half strong, making a couple of quick baskets to cut Cal State's lead to six points. CAL STATE PLAYER 1 They're coming back, we need to step up our game.
