(It was a normal day as any. Yuri had brought "Portrait of Markov" to school with her [jeez, does she always have that book on her?], Sayori's depression just...vanished...for some reason, and Monika is working on a new poem. But one thing that I noticed just days before was how big Yuri's belly was - even though she's never really told anybody why.) Sayori: (putting a hand on my shoulder) "Natsuki, I know life's been tough for you. But we're supposed to go on a field trip soon." (Just before we could decide on where to go, Yuri's phone started ringing.)

Yuri: (answering the phone) "Hello?" (pauses) "Oh, it's you... Yes, I know... I'll be there..." (hangs up) Natsuki: "What's going on, Yuri?" Yuri: "It was the doctor's office. I have an appointment today." Sayori: "For what?" Yuri: (hesitates) "Just a check-up... for my... condition." Monika: "Condition? Yuri, you didn't tell us about this." Yuri: (looks down at her stomach) "I didn't want to worry anyone..." Natsuki: "Yuri, we're your friends. You can tell us anything." Yuri: (takes a deep breath) "I'm pregnant." Silence fills the air as we all process this information. Sayori: "Oh my gosh, Yuri! Congratulations!" Monika: "That's amazing news. Why didn't you tell us earlier?" Yuri: "I was scared... I didn't know how everyone would react." Natsuki: "We're happy for you, Yuri. And we'll support you no matter what." Yuri: (smiling tearfully) "Thank you... that means a lot to me." As we continue to discuss the upcoming field trip and Yuri's pregnancy, I can't help but feel grateful for the bond we all share as friends. No matter what obstacles we may face, we have each other's backs.
