INT. JANE'S BEDROOM - DAY Jane, Sam, and Aaron are sitting on Jane's bed, chatting and playing video games. Sam pulls out a small container from her backpack. SAM Guess what I brought, guys? JANE Oh no, Sam, please tell me it's not another one of your creepy crawlers. SAM (chuckles) Come on, Jane. Just wait and see! Sam opens the container, revealing a pet tarantula crawling inside. Aaron's eyes widen with terror. AARON (lurches back) Uh, what is that?! SAM (excitedly) This, my dear Aaron, is Mr. Fangs! Isn't he adorable? JANE (defensively) Adorable? That thing could swallow us whole, Sam! SAM (giggling) Don't be such a scaredy-cat, Jane. Aaron, have you ever seen a tarantula up close? AARON (trembling) No, and I don't want to. I'm... you know, terrified of spiders. Jane and Sam exchange mischievous looks. JANE (teasingly) Really, Aaron? I had no idea you were afraid of spiders! AARON (embarrassed) Yeah, well, now you know. It's just something that gives me the creeps, okay? Sam slowly reaches out with Mr. Fangs, bringing it closer to Aaron. He squirms in his seat. SAM (teasing) So, Aaron, what do you think he would do if he jumped onto your shoulder? AARON (horrified) Jump onto my shoulder? No way, Sam! Keep that thing away from me! Sam and Jane burst into laughter as Aaron tries to shield himself from the sight of the tarantula. JANE (teasing) Well, Aaron, don't worry. We won't let Mr. Fangs anywhere near you, right, Sam? SAM (teasing) Oh, I can't make any promises there, Jane. This little guy has a mind of his own! They continue to laugh and playfully tease Aaron, whose face turns redder by the minute. AARON (defensively) Fine, fine! Just keep your hairy little creature away from me, alright? SAM (playfully) Deal! But don't be surprised if you accidentally find a plastic spider in your backpack tomorrow morning. They all laugh again, their friendship strengthened by harmless teasing and shared jokes. FADE OUT.
