She's carrying a file with a big smile on her face. CUT TO: INT. CONFERENCE USA OFFICE - DAY Judy enters the well-lit office, greeted by her colleagues who look slightly surprised but also excited. JUDY: (smiling) Good morning, everybody! COLLEAGUES: (in unison) Good morning, Commissioner! JUDY: (pauses) As you all know, today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Conference USA. COLLEAGUES: (nodding in agreement) JUDY: (continued) And I am proud to say that we're going to add a new member to our roster. COLLEAGUES: (in unison) Really? Who is it? JUDY: (smiling) Actually, it's my alma matter - the University of Texas at El Paso. COLLEAGUES: (surprised and excited) Wow! That's great news, Commissioner! JUDY: (smiling) Yes, it is. UTEP is a great university with a rich history, and they've been a part of many conferences in the past. But now, our conference is going to benefit from their rich cultural heritage, talented athletes, and excellent academics. COLLEAGUES: (nodding in agreement) Absolutely! JUDY: (continued) And I'm excited to work with the UTEP administration, coaches, and student-athletes to ensure a smooth transition into Conference USA. CUT TO: INT. UTEP OFFICE - DAY The UTEP Athletic Director, Heather Wilson, is sitting in her office, reading a report. HEATHER: (thoughts) I wonder what Commissioner MacLeod wants to talk to us about? Maybe it's about a new partnership or sponsorship deal? CUT TO: INT. CONFERENCE USA OFFICE - DAY Judy returns to her office and starts making phone calls to the UTEP administration. JUDY: (dialing) Hi, Heather. It's Judy. How are you? CUT TO: INT. UTEP OFFICE - DAY Heather picks up the phone with curiosity. HEATHER: (surprised) Hi, Judy. I'm great, thanks. How are you? CUT TO: INT. CONFERENCE USA OFFICE - DAY JUDY: (smiling) I'm doing great, thanks. Listen, I've got some exciting news that I think you're going to love. CUT TO: INT. UTEP OFFICE - DAY Heather leans forward, trying to catch every word. HEATHER: (enthusiastic) Go on, Commissioner MacLeod. CUT TO: INT. CONFERENCE USA OFFICE - DAY Judy takes a deep breath before continuing. JUDY: (smiling) We've decided to add UTEP to Conference USA. CUT TO: INT. UTEP OFFICE - DAY Heather can't contain her excitement as she hears the news. HEATHER: (shocked) Really? That's fantastic, Judy. We've been hoping for an opportunity like this for a long time. CUT TO: INT. CONFERENCE USA OFFICE - DAY JUDY: (smiling) Well, it's happening. It's going to be great for both our organizations. CUT TO: INT. UTEP OFFICE - DAY HEATHER: (smiling) I couldn't agree more, Commissioner. I'm thrilled to be joining Conference USA and working with you. CUT TO: INT. CONFERENCE USA OFFICE - DAY Judy hangs up the phone, a sense of satisfaction on her face. JUDY: (murmurs) This is going to be a great year for Conference USA! FADE OUT.
