Write me the script for a scene. The context: Sarah Rose, (Rosie is her nickname) is the youngest of the five Roy siblings, the youngest by far. She was the product of an affair Logan had with his secretary at the time. When her mother killed herself Sarah was only 10 months old and sent to Logan Roy's care, or rather, the care of multiple nannies, and sometimes her older siblings. Thus she's not as messed up by Logan as the other siblings are, but conversely due to it she often feels adrift, easily isolated from her family. The figures she probably most associates as mother/father figures are Kendall and Rava, she lived with them for a few years when she was a preteen and their daughter was a baby. She's 24 when Kendall throws his chaotic 40th birthday bash. After his move against Logan in the press his other younger siblings are basically at war with him, but most of the corporate stuff means nothing to Sarah, she understands it, but she doesn't care about it. The scene: Sarah Rose arrives at Kendall's birthday party, she isn't super comfortable in the loud environment, surrounded by so many people and flashing lights. She used to be a bit of a party girl, but not lately. Despite her discomfort she's hopeful to spend a bit of time with some of her siblings, even if they won't all actually hang out together.

**Interior: Kendall Roy's Lavish 40th Birthday Bash - Night** *The camera zooms through the pulsing, crowded party, cutting sharply between faces of the elite, the intoxicating lights, and the hypnotizing dance of indulgence. The bass of the music thumps like a second heartbeat as the scene finally rests on SARAH ROSE as she hesitantly steps into the fray. She's dressed in a simple yet elegant dress, a stark contrast to the glitter and excess around her.* **SARAH ROSE** *(muttering to herself)* Here goes nothing. *As SARAH moves through the crowd, she's brushed and bumped by dancing bodies, her discomfort visible. She spots Kendall from a distance, surrounded by a whirlpool of guests, seemingly caught in the rapture of his own making. She starts to make her way towards him but is stopped as she sees Roman and Shiv engaging in a heated conversation off to the side. She hesitates, torn between approaching Kendall or her other siblings.* **SARAH ROSE** *(to herself, contemplative)* Maybe... Not the best time. *She turns, deciding to make her way to the relatively quieter bar area. On her path, she passes photos plastered around the venue, chronicling Kendall's life. She pauses at one that includes her--a snapshot of a simpler time living with Kendall and Rava. The familial warmth in that photo starkly contrasts the alienated figure she cuts now. A small, nostalgic smile plays on her lips.* **BARTENDER** What can I get for you? *SARAH startles slightly, then approaches the bar.* **SARAH ROSE** Just a sparkling water, thanks. *The Bartender nods, fetching her drink. As she waits, she turns back to the party, her gaze lingering on Kendall again, reflecting a mix of admiration, confusion, and a hint of sorrow. Rava enters her line of sight, chasing after their daughter, which draws out a genuine smile from SARAH.* **RAVA** *(noticing Sarah, waves her over)* Sarah! Hey! *SARAH's face lights up at the sight of a familiar, comforting figure. She takes her drink and makes her way over.* **SARAH ROSE** *(warmly)* Hey, Rava. It's... It's good to see you. **RAVA** It's been too long, Sarah. How have you been? *They talk briefly, an island of calm in the chaos. The conversation is warm, filled with genuine care and concern. SARAH's demeanor visibly relaxes, the noise around them fading into the background.* **SARAH ROSE** I've been... Alright, I guess. It's just all this-- *(gestures to the surrounding party)* --feels overwhelming at times. **RAVA** *(nodding understandingly)* I know what you mean. How about we grab some air? You look like you could use a break from all this. *SARAH nods appreciatively, and they make their way out to a quieter balcony, stepping out into the cool night air. The party's noise dulls to a distant hum. They stand side by side, looking out into the night.* **SARAH ROSE** *(softly)* Thanks, Rava. For, you know, being here. Sometimes it feels like... like you're the closest thing to a mom I've ever had. *RAVA looks at SARAH, a soft smile mixed with sadness on her face. She puts an arm around SARAH, pulling her into a side hug.* **RAVA** You'll always have a place with us, Sarah. No matter what crazy stuff your family gets into. *The camera pulls back, leaving the two figures on the balcony, a momentary respite from the world. The shot widens, the party inside contrasting with the quiet intimacy of their conversation.* **FADE OUT.**

Continue the scene, some more context: For some reason, several nights a week for the past couple weeks, Sarah has shown up at Rava's and the kids' apartment and spent the night in their guest room. She claims she was drinking nearby and didn't want to go all the way back to her place, but she never seems drunk to Rava. But her niece and nephew are always happy to see her in the morning before school and Rava likes seeing her too, even if she's a bit worried about her. In the next scene Sarah meanders the party some more, she talks to some people. Meanwhile Rava pulls Kendall aside before leaving to give him the kids' gift for him.

**Exterior: Kendall Roy's 40th Birthday Bash - Rooftop Balcony - Night** *After their heartfelt conversation, SARAH and RAVA re-enter the chaos of the party. SARAH, now slightly more at ease, meanders through the crowd with a soft smile, lingering from her interaction with Rava. She engages in small talk with various attendees, her demeanor more observant and detached.* **CUT TO:** *SARAH mingling, the camera follows her navigating through clusters of guests. She laughs at a joke made by a guest, her laughter genuine but fleeting.* **SARAH ROSE** *(to a guest, lightly)* That's a good one. Kendall really knows how to throw a party, huh? *The guest nods enthusiastically, and SARAH moves on, her smile fading as she steps away. Her gaze drifts across the party, catching brief snippets of conversations that blend into a hum of background noise.* **CUT TO:** *Meanwhile, RAVA spots KENDALL isolated momentarily from the revelry. She approaches him with a purpose, holding a small, wrapped gift in her hand.* **RAVA** Kendall? *KENDALL turns, his expression shifting from surprise to warmth upon seeing RAVA.* **KENDALL** *(smiling)* Rava! Did you--Did you come out here just for me? **RAVA** I wouldn't miss it. And the kids wanted you to have this. *(She hands him the gift.)* They put a lot of thought into it. *KENDALL unwraps the gift to reveal a homemade photo album filled with pictures of him with his children, including some with SARAH in them, showcasing moments of genuine happiness.* **KENDALL** *(touched)* This is... incredible. Tell them I love it, okay? **RAVA** *(smiling softly)* I will. And, Kendall... *KENDALL looks at RAVA, sensing the seriousness in her tone.* **RAVA** *(continuing)* Sarah's been spending a lot of nights at our place lately. She says she's out drinking, but...I don't know. Keep an eye on her, will you? She looks up to you, even if she doesn't say it. *KENDALL's expression softens even more, a mix of concern and affection crossing his face.* **KENDALL** I didn't... Yeah. Yeah, of course. Thanks for looking out for her, Rava. **RAVA** *(nodding, about to leave)* She's family. And, Kendall? Happy birthday. Really. *KENDALL watches RAVA leave, the photo album clasped in his hand. A moment of introspection crosses his face before he's swallowed back into the throng of his party.* **CUT TO:** *SARAH, unaware of the conversation between Kendall and Rava, continues to navigate the party. She pauses, looking around the room filled with people yet feeling a sense of solitude. The camera captures SARAH in the crowd, a solitary figure surrounded by celebration, hinting at her internal isolation. She gives one last look around before deciding it's time to leave, slipping out quietly, almost unnoticed amidst the revelry.* **FADE OUT.**

Continue the scene: Sarah doesn't leave but she does run into Kendall's girlfriend, Naomi, who brings her the Kendall. Kendall's happy to see her, but he's also too caught up in himself and the night and, well drugs, to spend too much time focused on her.

**Interior: Kendall Roy's 40th Birthday Bash - Night** *The camera follows SARAH ROSE as she navigates through the crowd, her expression mixed with contemplation and a hint of resignation. As she nears the exit, NAOMI PIERCE intercepts her path, a glass of champagne in one hand.* **NAOMI** Sarah, hey! I was hoping I'd run into you. Kendall's been wrapped up in his own world tonight, but he'll want to see you. *SARAH gives a polite, somewhat forced smile, her plan of leaving quietly thwarted.* **SARAH ROSE** Oh, Naomi, hi. Sure, I--yeah, I'd like that. *NAOMI, sensing SARAH's hesitancy but misinterpreting it as shyness, loops her arm through SARAH's and steers her back into the heart of the party. The pulsating beats of the music and the swirling lights seem to intensify as they approach KENDALL, who is in the midst of a lively but superficial conversation with a group of guests.* **NAOMI** *(raising her voice slightly)* Kendall! *KENDALL looks over, his eyes lighting up when he sees SARAH. He excuses himself from the group and strides over, albeit slightly unsteady on his feet.* **KENDALL** Sarah Rose! The prodigal sister graces us with her presence! What's up? **SARAH ROSE** *(trying to mask her discomfort with humor)* Just wanted to see how the other half parties. Looks like you're having a good time. *KENDALL wraps an arm around SARAH, pulling her into a half-hug, his attention flickering around the room even as he speaks to her.* **KENDALL** You know me, always the life of the party. You should hang around, cut loose. *His speech is rapid, his eyes glossed over--a clear indication of his indulgence in substances for the evening. SARAH looks at him, a mix of fondness and concern in her eyes.* **SARAH ROSE** Yeah, it's quite the bash. I-- *(hesitates, decides against saying more)* --I'm glad I caught you. *KENDALL's attention is momentarily caught by a passing guest, waving them over excitedly.* **KENDALL** Yo! Jeremy! Come here, man, you gotta meet my sister! *As KENDALL gets distracted, SARAH's expression falls slightly. It becomes evident that while KENDALL is happy to see her, he's too ensnared in the night's revelries and his own state to truly connect. SARAH exchanges a glance with NAOMI, who gives an apologetic shrug, her look suggesting she understands how these nights go.* **SARAH ROSE** *(quietly, to NAOMI while KENDALL is distracted)* I think I might head out, actually. But tell him I said happy birthday, okay? *NAOMI nods, a sympathetic understanding in her eyes.* **NAOMI** Of course, Sarah. Take care, okay? *SARAH gives a small smile and a nod before discreetly making her way out of the party. As she leaves, the camera lingers on her retreating figure, contrasting against the backdrop of the ongoing party--a visual metaphor for her feelings of isolation amidst the opulence and excess of the Roy family's world.* **CUT TO:** *KENDALL, still engaged with his guests, doesn't immediately notice SARAH's departure. The scene subtly underscores the complexities of their relationships and SARAH's struggle for connection within her own family.* **FADE OUT.**

**Interior: Kendall Roy's 40th Birthday Bash - Night** *As Sarah stands somewhat adrift after her brief interaction with Kendall, her gaze scans the room and eventually settles on CONNOR, who's engaged in a lively discussion with WILLA near the bar. She hesitates for a moment before approaching.* **SARAH ROSE** Hey, Connor. Willa. *CONNOR, ever the politico, turns with an almost rehearsed smile.* **CONNOR** Sarah! How delightful to see you embracing the familial bonds. Join us! *WILLA, less enthused but polite, offers a nod.* **WILLA** Sarah. **SARAH ROSE** *(trying to make conversation)* This party's quite something, isn't it? Kendall's really outdone himself this time. **CONNOR** *(grandly)* Oh, absolutely. These types of gatherings are essential for networking. And speaking of which, I'm considering a move that-- *WILLA subtly rolls her eyes, sipping her drink.* **SARAH ROSE** *(cuts in, gently)* That sounds... ambitious, Connor. I was actually wondering how the Broadway production is going, Willa? **WILLA** *(slightly surprised but pleased at the interest)* It's... going. The arts are essential, you know? Even if they're not always appreciated. **CONNOR** *(beaming at Willa)* Willa's doing a magnificent job. Art is the soul of society, and we-- *Their conversation is interrupted as COUSIN GREG approaches, looking as awkward and out of place as ever.* **COUSIN GREG** Hey, hey! The party continues over here, I see. **CONNOR** Greg! The more the merrier! **SARAH ROSE** *(smiling at Greg)* Hey, Greg. How are you finding the party? **COUSIN GREG** Oh, you know, it's pretty grand. Kind of overwhelming, but in a good way? Like, it's cool but also a lot. **SARAH ROSE** *(nodding in agreement)* Yeah, I get that. It's...a lot. *CONNOR, taking the moment to pontificate, launches into a grandiose speech about the virtues of wealth and status, tangentially linking it back to his political aspirations. Sarah and Greg exchange a look that communicates a shared sentiment of being outsiders within their own family.* **COUSIN GREG** *(trying to keep up with the conversation)* Yeah, um, lots of...potential here for networking, right? Lots of fancy people. **WILLA** *(dryly)* The creme de la creme of society's circus. **SARAH ROSE** *(laughing softly)* That's one way to put it. It's nice having these moments though, catching up amidst the chaos. *The group nods, their conversation a rare island of sincerity in the sea of Kendall's extravagant bash. They continue to chat, the camera capturing this moment of unity amongst the discord, a brief respite where genuine familial connections shine through the veneer of wealth and power.* **FADE OUT.**

Continue the scene: Describe how finally, Rosie runs into Roman and Shiv. The two love their sister, but they also view her as the baby, cute and precious and silly but not really to be taken seriously, and they know she has a soft spot for Kendall.

**Interior: Kendall Roy's 40th Birthday Bash - Later in the Night** *After her engaging conversation with Connor, Willa, and Cousin Greg, SARAH ROSE, now slightly more at ease, navigates through the throng of partygoers. The night wears on, the crowd slightly thinner, the music still loud but less overwhelming. She spots ROMAN and SHIV leaning against a sleek, designer bar, their laughter cutting through the ambient noise. Steeling herself, she approaches.* **SARAH ROSE** *(lightly)* Hey, Roman, Shiv. *ROMAN turns, a mischievous smirk on his face, while SHIV greets her with a more measured, almost maternal, smile.* **ROMAN** Ah, if it isn't Baby Roy, gracing us with her presence. What's up? Decided to slum it with us mere mortals? **SHIV** *(chidingly to Roman, then turning to Sarah with warmth)* Ignore him, Rosie. You're always a sight for sore eyes. How's the party treating you? *SARAH smiles, the affectionate nickname warming her, despite its infantilizing edge.* **SARAH ROSE** It's... overwhelming. But good, I guess. Saw Kendall earlier; he's really in his element. *ROMAN snorts, his grin sharp.* **ROMAN** Oh, Kendall's "element" is a cocktail of ego mixed with whatever substance he's currently favoring. You're not buying into his Messiah complex, are you? **SHIV** *(lightly, but with a hint of steel)* Roman, lighten up. Rosie, we just like to make sure you're not getting too caught up in Kendall's... theatrics. *SARAH senses the protective, albeit condescending undercurrent in Shiv's voice.* **SARAH ROSE** I'm not. I just... you know, I think it's good we can still have moments like this, as a family. *Her voice holds a hint of pleading, wishing for a deeper connection, for her siblings to see her as more than the naive youngest member of the Roy family.* **ROMAN** Oh, absolutely, heartwarming family moments, brought to you by the sheer force of Kendall's mid-life crisis. *SHIV gives Roman a sharp look, then softens towards SARAH.* **SHIV** We're glad you're here, Rosie. Really, it's...nice to see you outside of the usual drama. *The conversation winds down as ROMAN spots someone across the room and decides to excuse himself with a characteristic quip, leaving SHIV and SARAH in a more tranquil bubble amidst the party's chaos.* **SHIV** Listen, Rosie, if you ever need to talk, or if Kendall's antics get too much...you know I'm here, right? *SARAH looks at Shiv, touched by the genuine concern behind her sister's poised facade.* **SARAH ROSE** Yeah, I know. Thanks, Shiv. That means a lot. *They share a moment of silent understanding, an acknowledgment of the complicated web of loyalty, rivalry, and affection that defines the Roy siblings. Then, with a final exchange of smiles, SARAH drifts away from Shiv, moving through the party with a newfound sense of belonging, yet still bearing the invisible weight of her unique position within the Roy family.* **FADE OUT.**

Continue the scene: Rosie is about to leave, when she sees the argument breaking out, something between Roman and Kendall, about the company, or Logan. Roman seemed to be mocking Kendall in his way and Shiv was right there as well. Sarah Rose goes over to them, tries to get them to knock it off, but none of them really pay attention to her, except Shiv who tells her not now.

**Interior: Kendall Roy's 40th Birthday Bash - Still Night** *Just as SARAH ROSE finally decides to call it a night, a sudden commotion catches her attention. Across the room, an argument is escalating between ROMAN and KENDALL, the intensity of their exchange cutting through the ambient noise of the party. SHIV is also there, her body language tense as she tries to mediate what seems to be a heated debate about the company and their father, LOGAN's, latest maneuverings.* *SARAH pauses, her instinct to defuse the situation pulling her towards the fray. She approaches just as ROMAN delivers a particularly scathing barb.* **ROMAN** Oh, come on, Ken. Even you can't be this delusional, can you? Daddy's never going to let you take the reins after your latest stunt. *KENDALL, flushed with anger and perhaps a cocktail of other emotions fueled by the night, retorts sharply.* **KENDALL** You think you can do better? You're just as blinded by your own pathetic need for his approval. *SHIV, trying to keep her voice level, cuts in.* **SHIV** Both of you, this isn't the time or the place. *It's in this charged atmosphere that SARAH interjects, her voice earnest, urging calm.* **SARAH ROSE** Hey, hey, guys, come on. This isn't worth it. *Her intervention barely registers, the trio so embroiled in their dispute that her words seem to fade into the background.* **SHIV** *(not unkindly, but dismissive)* Sarah, not now. *The dismissal from Shiv, the one she felt closest to, stings. The heated argument continues unabated, with none of the siblings showing any sign of backing down. SARAH stands there for a moment, a wave of realization washing over her. Despite her best intentions, she's still seen as the little sister, her voice too easily ignored in matters of weight.* *SARAH takes a step back, the family dynamics unfolding before her serving as a painful reminder of the distance that still exists. She looks around at the partygoers, oblivious or too wrapped up in their own worlds to care about the familial storm brewing in their midst.* *With a heavy heart, SARAH turns and makes her way towards the exit, the argument fading behind her. As she leaves, the camera stays for a moment longer on the argument between KENDALL, ROMAN, and SHIV, illustrating the deep fissures within the Roy family, before cutting back to SARAH, stepping into the night, the door closing behind her.* **FADE OUT.**

Continue the scene: Sarah doesn't leave, she is still standing by her siblings when she sees him across the party and her heart stops. Describe how fear seizes her, how she feels like she can't breathe. No one notices yet, but when he starts to turn his head she drops to a squat, looking at the ground. Shiv does notice that, and she hears Sarah Rose's repeated question, "Did he see me?" Shiv doesn't know who she's referring to but Sarah Rose does, the man she saw across the party, in a waiter's uniform with a tray of food, the man she remembers from a month ago, when she met him at a club and he sexually assaulted her.

**Interior: Kendall Roy's 40th Birthday Bash - Still Night** *As SARAH ROSE stands disheartened by her siblings' argument, her gaze unintentionally sweeps across the luxe expanse of Kendall's party. It's then she sees him - a figure so incongruous to her world of luxury and familial disputes, yet one that grips her reality with a sudden, suffocating force. He's dressed in a waiter's uniform, moving unassumingly with a tray of food across the room. Time slows as fear, visceral and immediate, clutches at her heart. Her breath catches in her throat - each inhalation a struggle as the sights and sounds of the party dim into a distant echo.* *Panic seizes her with icy fingers, her pulse throbbing loudly in her ears. For a moment, she's no longer at Kendall's party but back at that club from a month ago, reliving the nightmare she thought she had left behind. She feels exposed, vulnerable under the weight of his potential gaze. And then, as he begins to turn his head possibly in her direction, a primal instinct to hide overtakes her.* *SARAH drops to a squat abruptly, her eyes fixated on the ground, her body trembling. She repeats in a whisper, barely audible over the din of the argument and the party, a mantra of fear,* **SARAH ROSE** Did he see me? Did he see me? *SHIV, in the midst of her fervent back-and-forth with ROMAN, notices the sudden movement. The concern is immediate, the argument with her brothers momentarily forgotten as she turns to SARAH, confusion and worry etching her features.* **SHIV** Sarah? What's wrong? What happened? *The siblings' argument ceases abruptly, their attention now drawn to their youngest sister, crouched and visibly shaking. But SARAH isn't looking at them; her gaze remains locked on the floor, her mind racing with the thought of being seen by him, the man from a month ago whose actions have left a permanent scar on her psyche.* *SARAH's voice is a frightened whisper, her fear palpable,* **SARAH ROSE** Shiv...did he see me? *SHIV, perplexed and concerned, follows SARAH's line of sight across the room. But to her, it's just a sea of faces, indistinguishable partygoers enjoying the night. She doesn't know who SARAH's referring to, the context of her fear a mystery.* **SHIV** Who, Sarah? Who are you talking about? *The question hangs in the air, SARAH struggling to voice the trauma she has yet to speak of, the identity of her fear still cloaked in the shadows of her silence. The siblings' previous tensions are momentarily forgotten, replaced by a uniting concern for SARAH, who remains unable to meet their eyes, caught in the throes of a past encounter intruding violently into the present.* *The camera lingers on the tableau - SARAH on the ground, SHIV and ROMAN's expressions transitioning from confusion to concern, and KENDALL, momentarily stilled by the unexpected shift in the night's dynamics. The air is taut with unspoken questions and concerns, a stark contrast to the revelry that continues unabated around them.* **CUT TO BLACK.**

Continue the scene: Sarah Rose won't, can't, say anymore but she's clearly terrified, seemly having a panic attack. Roman says something about how she's being dramatic, trying to get attention, clearly referring to her days as a small bratty child. Shiv takes control though and asks Kendall to take them somewhere private. By the time they get there Roman's a bit more convinced by the genuineness of Rosie's behavior. Sarah says something else as they're walking, don't let him see me, he didn't even know who I was. They don't know what it means but it evokes a bad feeling. She also says one more thing, once in the room, to call Gerri.
