Title: "High Altitude Misunderstandings" INTRO [The opening credits roll, ending with the logo for "Hetalia: Axis Powers". The scene opens in a serene Swiss landscape, with the camera panning over the Alps. Switzerland, personified, is kneeling down adjusting a flower in a lush field, his face set in concentration.] Switzerland (narrating): It's not that I'm fond of neutrality for its own sake, but peace and privacy are a big deal for me. Which is why I wasn't too happy when my airspace was disturbed during the Big One...World War II. [The sound of an airplane engine grows louder.] Switzerland (annoyed): Speaking of which... CUT TO: MAIN STORY [Switzerland stands up, dusting off his pants as the sound of a vintage warplane echoes overhead, and the animation transitions into a sepia-toned flashback to World War II.] Switzerland (narrating): Back in those days, everyone was caught up in a terrible battle. I declared my neutrality, as is my wont. However... [Switzerland is shown looking disgruntled as he watches planes cross into his airspace.] Switzerland (narrating): ...there were a few misunderstandings. You see, American pilots sometimes got "lost" and found their way into my Alpine no-fly zone. [Cue an American P-51 Mustang buzzing through the valleys, its markings clearly indicating it's from the United States.] Switzerland (narrating): They weren't supposed to be there, but try telling that to an American who's decided on a route... [The scene shifts to present-day, where Switzerland is retelling this story to other nation characters, including America, who's sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.] Switzerland (grumpily): And there was more than one occasion. Once could be a mistake, but more than that is just carelessness! America (guiltily): Aw, man, Switzerland, I'm like, really sorry about that. It was all crazy back then, you know? I might have gone a bit off-course... Switzerland (arms crossed): "A bit"? You nearly turned my majestic mountains into your private airstrip! [Germany and Italy are watching, too. Italy is blissfully unaware of the tension, while Germany looks uncomfortable.] Italy (naively): But America is a good pilot, right? Maybe he just liked the view of your pretty mountains, Switzerland! Switzerland (sighs): That's hardly the point, Italy... America (apologetically): I get it, buddy. No hard feelings, okay? I'll make it up to you! [An idea pops into America's head, and he grins with his typical overconfidence.] CUT TO: RESOLUTION [Cut to a picturesque Swiss airfield where a modern-day airshow is taking place. Red, white, and blue vapor trails decorate the sky as American stunt planes put on a dazzling display.] Switzerland (narrating): In an attempt to patch things up, America decided to dedicate an airshow to Switzerland. It was a sort of "sorry for crashing your party in the '40s" event. [Switzerland, with arms crossed, watches the stunt planes with a mixed expression of begrudging appreciation.] Switzerland: I must admit, they're skilled pilots, but they better stay in the right airspace this time... America (cheerful, standing next to him): Don't worry, I made sure everyone got a GPS this time! And they all have your number if they get lost! Switzerland (rolls his eyes): Oh, that's very reassuring. [The crowd cheers, and despite his grumpy demeanor, a small smile forms on Switzerland's face.] Switzerland (narrating): It takes a lot to ruffle my feathers, but it takes even more to smooth them down. America might be boisterous, but at least he tries...in his own way. [The camera pans up to the blue sky as the vapor trails from the planes form the American and Swiss flags, merging together in a show of friendship and reconciliation.] Switzerland (narrating): Perhaps there's a lesson in all of this. Even when paths mistakenly cross, there's always room for forgiveness and a bit of acrobatics. [The scene fades out to the sound of the airshow and the cheering crowd.] OUTRO [The ending credits roll to a light-hearted tune, closing this episode of "Hetalia: Axis Powers".] Switzerland (narrating): And maybe next time, America will remember that "neutral" means "stay out!" [The sound of laughter from the other nations is heard as the screen cuts to black.] THE END
