Let's check it out. #### EXT. - RACE TRACK - MOMENTS LATER *(The gang exits the Mystery Machine and approaches the abandoned race track, bathed in moonlight. Suddenly, a ghostly race car revs in the distance.)* SCOOBY: Ruh-roh! GHOST OF DALE LEARNHARD: (O.S.) Who dares to challenge Dale Learnhard? #### INT. - RACE TRACK STANDS - LATER *(The gang, disguised as racers, sits in the stands, devising a plan.)* FRED: Our plan is to catch the ghost in the act. Shaggy, Scooby, you two will challenge him to a race. SHAGGY: Like, why do we always get these assignments? SCOOBY: Reah, rhy? VELMA: (brandishing a book) Because, according to this, Learnhard's ghost can only be seen by those who challenge him. We'll set traps along the way. #### EXT. - RACE TRACK - THE RACE *(Shaggy and Scooby, in a comically souped-up Mystery Machine, line up at the start. The ghostly car appears, revving menacingly.)* GHOST OF DALE LEARNHARD: Ready to lose? SHAGGY AND SCOOBY: Never! *(They race. The gang executes their trap strategy but each trap fails comically. Eventually, Scooby and Shaggy outsmart the ghost by leading him into a trap they accidentally set.)* #### EXT. - RACE TRACK - POST-RACE *(The ghost of Dale Learnhard is revealed to be a masked figure, now caught in a net. Local law enforcement and a crowd gather as the gang explains.)* VELMA: And the ghost of Dale Learnhard is actually... *(She pulls off the mask.)* ALL: Mr. Hendershot?! MR. HENDERSHOT: I wanted to scare everyone away to find the hidden treasure Dale supposedly left on this track.
