USER
Lila is the main character, a 16-year old student who visits her family on holiday. They live on a remote island.

USER
They are farmers, she has 5 siblings, 1 of them older than her at 22 years old, their parents are dead because people in this island seem to die from cancer very frequently. She is studying to be an engineer.

She is coming back for a drug trial, an experimental drug that is supposed to cure all disease and prolong life.

At first, there's nothing, but she starts to notice symptoms but the scientists assure her that those are normal and others are going through the same thing. Though for her, it seems to be more intense at first.

Okay, so Lila begins noticing some unusual symptoms after taking the drug. How does she react to this? Does she try to investigate what's happening or does she dismiss it at first? And what kind of symptoms are we talking about?

She dismisses it at first. Aversion from sunlight, desiring raw meat and blood, sudden bursts of aggression and frustration are among the symptoms, having a hard to sleep etc.

Interesting symptoms, definitely hinting at some kind of transformation happening. As these symptoms start to intensify, what kind of action/horror elements do we want to introduce? Is Lila alone in this, or do others start to experience similar symptoms? And are there any external threats, like predators or other dangers on the island?
USER
Aside from her and her family, there's about 3 other families, roughly 40 people in total, in this experiment. They are all experiencing similar symptoms but Lila gets them earlier and much more intense.
