CHATBOT
INT. JANE'S BEDROOM - DAY Jane (14) and Sam (14) sit cross-legged on Jane's bed, chatting and laughing. A cozy and vibrant room filled with posters of bands and celestial artwork. Jane notices a portable DVD player lying on Jane's backpack. JANE (eyes widening) Oh, wait! Is that a portable DVD player? SAM (laughs) Yeah, it is! It's my sister's. JANE (confused) You have a sister? But you never mentioned her! SAM (smiling) Sorry, I guess I forgot. She's five years younger than me, and her name's Lily. Jane gasps, curious. JANE Why does she have a portable DVD player if she already has a tablet? Isn't that redundant? Sam leans back, looking thoughtful. SAM Well, Lily's a bit of a unique case. She has autism, and sometimes it's hard for her to adapt to new technology. When she got her tablet, she struggled to navigate through the interface and got overwhelmed easily. Jane nods, beginning to understand. JANE So, the portable DVD player is easier for her to use? SAM Exactly! Lily loves her DVDs, and she knows how to use them since she's been watching them since forever. The player is more straightforward and comforting for her, especially during difficult times. Jane's eyes soften with empathy. JANE That's really sweet of you to let her use it. Being a good sister, huh? SAM (chuckles) Well, my parents always tell me that looking out for your siblings is important. And besides, seeing her happy and relaxed with her favorite DVDs is priceless. Jane takes Sam's hand, grateful for her understanding. JANE You're amazing, Sam. I admire the way you care for your sister. It shows a lot about who you are. Sam blushes, but her smile radiates warmth. SAM Thanks, Jane. That means a lot to me. They share a heartfelt moment of connection, their bond growing stronger in that intimate exchange. FADE OUT.
