{MOUNT WILDWOOD} Natsuki: "Man, this day is the worst - I don't have a Yo-kai partner like the other two! Nate has Jibanyan and Whisper...Hailey has Usapyon...but I haven't met any Yo-kai at all. Not to mention all this doggone smog covering the mountain this spring." ???: "Hey...over here...in the smog..." (Natsuki looks around, but doesn't see anyone.) Natsuki: "Who's there?! I-I-I can't see you, but I know you're there!" ???: "By the big tree..." (Natsuki cautiously approaches the big tree, squinting through the smog.) Natsuki: "I still don't see you...!" (Frustrated, and still upset about not having a Yo-kai partner, Natsuki sits down at the base of the tree. All the while, a Yo-kai watches from the trees.) Badsmella: "*sigh* If only she knew..."

Natsuki: "I feel so alone without a Yo-kai partner...I wish I could meet one soon." (Badsmella, feeling sorry for Natsuki, decides to reveal herself.) Badsmella: "Well, hello there, human. My name is Badsmella, and I am a Yo-kai." (Natsuki looks up in shock, finally able to see Badsmella in the smog.) Natsuki: "Oh my gosh! A real Yo-kai! Are you here to be my partner?" Badsmella: "I was just passing by, but...if you wish it, I could be your partner." Natsuki: "Yes, please! I may not have met you sooner, but I know we'll make a great team!" (The two of them bond, and Natsuki finally feels like she has a true friend in Badsmella. Together, they solve mysteries and learn valuable lessons from the other Yo-kai on Mount Wildwood.)
