Malzeno: "GAH! Can't I just get a minute of peace without some hunters bothering me?!" Lunagaron: "Same. And I just want to be with my girlfriend again." Garangolm: "I heard that Magnamalo is getting married to Somnacanth tomorrow." Malzeno: "Grrrrgh...fine. Guess I can take a break."

Lunagaron: "Let's all take a break and relax for a while. We deserve it after all the battles we've faced." Garangolm: "Agreed. I could use some rest before the next monster comes along." Malzeno: "Fine, but don't expect me to stick around for long. I have things to do and people to see." As the trio settled in for a much-needed break, they couldn't help but feel grateful for each other's company amidst the chaos of being hunters. They sat in silence, enjoying the peace and quiet of the moment, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead of them.

5 moths after Somnacanth and Magnamalo were married, the three lords headed back the Citadel. Malzeno: "So...Lunagaron..." Lunagaron: "Yeah?" Malzeno: "Who the hell are you dating?" Lunagaron: "Oh. Her name is Natsuki." Malzeno: "...you're dating...a human?" Lunagaron: "Yep." Malzeno: "You do realize we have rules here, right?!" Lunagaron: "Malzeno, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Let alone the fact that Magnamalo and Somnacanth are expecting their first child!"

Garangolm: "Let's not focus on the rules now. The important thing is that Lunagaron is happy with Natsuki." Malzeno: "I suppose you're right, Garangolm. But we still need to be cautious about our relationships with humans." Lunagaron: "I understand the risks, Malzeno. But Natsuki is special to me and I won't let anything come between us." As they entered the Citadel, the three lords continued their conversation about the challenges of maintaining relationships as hunters, especially with humans. But they also acknowledged the importance of love and companionship, knowing that it was what kept them going in their perilous line of work.

Malzeno: "Lunagaron, we need to talk." Lunagaron: "What?" Malzeno: "Garangolm and I have made a decision." Lunagaron: "What is it? Is it a fresh new toy to play with? A new computer?!" Malzeno: "No. We're banning from ever coming to the Citadel again, Lunagaron."

Lunagaron: "What?! Why? What have I done wrong?" Garangolm: "It's not a matter of what you've done wrong, Lunagaron. It's about the fact that you've broken the rule about dating humans." Malzeno: "We can't risk the safety and secrecy of our kind by having relationships with humans. It goes against everything we believe in." Lunagaron: "But...I love Natsuki. I can't just give up on her." Garangolm: "We understand that it's difficult, but it's for the greater good. Our duty as hunters comes before our personal desires." Lunagaron hung his head in disappointment, feeling as if he had lost something precious. But he also knew that his friends had a valid point and that sometimes sacrifices had to be made. As he left the Citadel, he made a vow to himself to find a way to reconcile his love for Natsuki with his duty as a hunter.

Lunagaron: "I can't believe that Malzeno and Garangolm kicked me out! I really need something to do..." Lunagaron spots a nearby building. Lunagaron: "Sweet! Now I can enjoy a moment to myself!" Inside the building, Lunagaron sits at a desk - then notices a strange, red book sitting beside him. Lunagaron: "Hey! There's something to read here!" Lunagaron starts reading the book. Lunagaron: "Hmmm...I wonder what's at the last page-" Somebody takes the book away from Lunagaron. Lunagaron: "THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!" ???: "I can't let you have Portrait of Markov, nor do want anyone to read the last page. But...my, my...your claws could be an excellent addition to my knife collection!" Lunagaron reveals his claws. Lunagaron: "Get away from me, you freak!" Lunagaron slashes at the mysterious person, ultimately gouging out one of the person's eyes and cutting off most of the person's long purple hair.

???: "AH! You monster!" The mysterious person flees the building, clutching their eye while Lunagaron stands there in shock. He had never acted with such violence before, but he knew that he had to defend himself. As he looked at his own claws, he realized that he needed to control his impulses and be more careful in the future. He also wondered about the strange book and the person who had tried to take it away from him. Who were they, and what was the significance of the Portrait of Markov? Lunagaron felt a sense of curiosity and unease as he left the building, clutching the book tightly in his hands.
