INT. JANE'S GIRL SCOUT MEETING ROOM - DAY Jane (14), Sam (14), Veronica (13), and other GIRL SCOUTS sit in a circle, listening intently to their troop leader. TROOP LEADER Okay, girls, today we're going to talk about self-identity and acceptance. It's important to understand and respect each other's differences. Who wants to share? Jane raises her hand eagerly, followed by Sam and Veronica. TROOP LEADER Jane, you're up first! Jane takes a deep breath, excited to share. JANE (looking at Sam) Well, as most of you know, I'm Jane, and this is my AMAZING girlfriend, Sam. We've been together for a while now, and it's been incredible. Love knows no gender, and we're proud to be examples of that. GIRL SCOUT #1 That's so cool, Jane! You guys are adorable together! Sam beams with pride, leaning into Jane for support. JANE Thanks! We're lucky to have such an accepting group. And speaking of acceptance, I want to introduce our newest member, Veronica. She's pretty awesome too. All eyes turn to Veronica, who nervously tries to find the right words. VERONICA (fidgeting) Um, hey, everyone. I'm Veronica. I'm 13, and, um... I'm asexual. The room falls silent for a moment. Jane squeezes Sam's hand, reassuring her. JANE That's awesome, Veronica! Thank you for sharing. GIRL SCOUT #2 (confused) What does asexual mean? TROOP LEADER Asexuality is a perfectly normal sexual orientation where individuals do not experience sexual attraction towards anyone. It's important for us to support and respect each other, no matter how we identify. Jane raises her hand, eager to add on. JANE Sorry, can I add something? Asexuality is just as valid and important as any other sexual orientation. Just because someone doesn't feel sexual attraction doesn't mean they don't experience love or meaningful relationships. SAM Exactly, Jane! We're all unique, and it's our differences that make us special. GIRL SCOUT #3 (nods) I'm glad you guys shared this. It helps us understand each other better. The troop leader smiles, impressed with the girls' compassion. TROOP LEADER You're all incredible young ladies. Remember, the most important thing we can do is support and respect one another. Thank you, Jane, Sam, and Veronica, for sharing your stories. The girls clap and cheer, showing their support for one another. INT. JANE'S GIRL SCOUT MEETING ROOM - DAY - LATER Jane, Sam, and Veronica share a laugh, feeling closer than ever. JANE (leans towards Veronica) Welcome to the team, Veronica. We're lucky to have you. VERONICA (smiling) Thanks, Jane. You've got an awesome group here. They link arms, ready to continue their journey of friendship and acceptance. FADE OUT.
