Natsuki: (shrugging Sayori's hand off) "I know, I know. But it's just hard to get excited about it when things feel off." Yuri: (closing her book) "What do you mean, Natsuki?" Natsuki: (gesturing towards Monika) "Well, for example, why is Monika's belly so big? She's never mentioned anything about being pregnant." Monika: (looking up from her notebook) "Oh, that's because I am pregnant." Everyone: (gasps in surprise) Sayori: "Monika, why didn't you tell us?" Monika: "I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. It's not like it's anything newsworthy." Yuri: "But it's a big deal to us, Monika. You're going to be a mother!" Natsuki: (teasingly) "Guess that explains why you've been eating all those cupcakes lately." Monika: (laughing) "Hey, I have to eat for two now." Sayori: "But we still have to plan for the festival. And now we have even more reason to make it special - a baby shower for Monika!" Yuri: (nodding in agreement) "Yes, we can organize a special event for Monika's pregnancy. It'll be wonderful." Monika: (smiling) "Thank you, guys. I appreciate it." And so, we spent the rest of the day planning for the festival and for Monika's baby shower. It was a nice distraction from our usual problems, and it brought us closer together as a group. I guess sometimes, unexpected news can bring unexpected joy.
