(The larger creature suddenly goes still before letting out a terrifying screech. She starts to writhe on the ground in pain.) [player]: (worried and confused) "Are you okay?" (The creature continues to writhe and scream as something inside of her begins to move.) [player]: (realizing what's happening) "Oh my god, you're giving birth!" ???: (growls and snaps) "Of course, I'm giving birth, you imbecile! Do something!" (Player quickly looks around, trying to figure out what to do. They spot a nearby pool of murky water.) [player]: "Okay, stay calm, I'm going to help you." ???: "Hurry up!" (Player rushes to the pool of water and scoops some up in their hands. They hurry back to the larger creature as she continues to writhe in pain.) [player]: "Here, drink this." (The creature hesitates for a moment before snatching the water from player's hands. She splashes it on her face and body, easing the pain.) ???: (panting) "Thank you. I... I don't know what came over me. This pain is unbearable." [player]: "It's okay, now take deep breaths. I'll help you with the birth." (The creature nods and tries to relax as player guides her through the birthing process. After a few minutes, a small, slimy, and squirming creature pops out.) [player]: "Congratulations, it's a healthy baby Gulper." ???: (proudly) "Thank you. I have never seen a stranger offer such kindness. Consider yourself lucky to have stumbled upon us and assisted with the birth without harm." [player]: "I'm just glad I could help. I never would have thought I'd witness a creature birth in the Betweenlands." ???: "Well, anything is possible here. You should never let your guard down. We will leave you to your travels now. I have some serious parenting to get done." (The larger creature picks up her newborn in her jaws and takes off into the shadows, leaving player in awe of their experience.)
