Erebus is a gas giant that was ejected from its home solar system and now drifts through the void of space. Its color is a deep, mysterious black, much like the exoplanet TrES-2b. The chemistry of Erebus also closely resembles TrES-2b, with a composition of mostly hydrogen and helium, and traces of methane and water vapor in its atmosphere. The surface of Erebus is shrouded in darkness, giving it an eerie and foreboding appearance as it travels through the vast emptiness of space.
