STEVE Well, it takes a badass bandit to appreciate another badass bandit. Robin smirks back before turning serious. ROBIN That whole thing with the mind flayer, the Demogorgon, and the upside-down. I never thought I'd experience anything like that. STEVE Yeah, it's a lot to take in. ROBIN But it made me realize... life's short, and we're not guaranteed a safe, normal future. So, what's the point in holding back, you know? Steve contemplates her words. STEVE So, what are you holding back, Robin? Robin hesitates, then looks him in the eye. ROBIN This. Robin leans across the counter, planting a bold and passionate kiss on Steve's lips. Steve's eyes go wide in shock, but he reciprocates after a moment, putting his hand on the back of Robin's head. After a few moments, they pull apart, both breathless and giddy. ROBIN Well... that escalated quickly. Steve chuckles, stunned and amused. STEVE I guess we're a couple of badass bandits in love now. Robin grins and nods. ROBIN I guess we are. They share a tender look before Steve leans in to kiss her once more, sealing their new status as a couple.

INT. HAWKINS HIGH SCHOOL - HALLWAY - DAY The hallway is buzzing with STUDENTS, lockers opening and closing, lively chatter. Nancy and Jonathan search for each other through the crowded hallway. NANCY (Shouting over the noise) Jonathan! Jonathan turns and notices her, making his way towards her. JONATHAN Hey, Nancy. What's up? She grins excitedly, pulling a crumpled newspaper from her backpack. NANCY Look at this! We got published in the Gazette! Jonathan's eyes widen as he takes the paper and reads their joint byline. JONATHAN I can't believe it! We did it! He glances up at Nancy, beaming. NANCY This is just the beginning, Jonathan. We'll keep investigating, and our names will be in print again soon. Everyone exchanges worried glances. They thought they had finally vanquished the nightmarish alternate dimension, but now it seems the danger could be returning. NANCY What did you see, El? ELEVEN I saw some people... lost in the Upside Down. They were calling for help. Jonathan clenches his fists on the table, concerned. JONATHAN We can't leave them in there. We have to find a way to save them. MAX But how do we even start? We barely made it out last time. Steve and Robin exchange supportive glances. MIKE (Whispering) According to this, there's a possible portal opening that follows a pattern of energy surges in town. Jonathan looks over the sketches and notes. JONATHAN It's on a 72-hour cycle. The next surge is scheduled to happen tonight. DUSTIN That's not a lot of time to prepare. Are we sure we're ready for this? MAX I agree. We need a solid plan and supplies if we're going back in there. Nancy nods and flips through her notes. NANCY We'll need flashlights, walkie-talkies, and maybe even some weapons to protect ourselves. LUCAS And don't forget the gas masks. The air in there is toxic! ROBIN I'll talk to my dad. He works at the hardware store; he might have some supplies. STEVE I'll come with you. It'll be faster if we work together. Eleven, who has been quietly listening to the conversation, speaks up. ELEVEN I'll try to use my powers to pin down the exact location of the lost people. Maybe we can get to them faster. Mike squeezes her hand, offering support. MIKE Together, we'll rescue them, El. I promise. They make a plan to regroup at the Byers' house later in the day. INT. According to the data, the energy surge will happen here. ELEVEN I can sense... something. The Upside Down and the lost people, they're still alive. Everyone gathers in a circle, looking at one another with a mix of fear and determination. NANCY Alright, double-check everything. We may not have much time once the portal opens. They quickly go through their supplies, making sure they're prepared for the dangerous journey they are about to navigate. LUCAS Gas masks on, everybody. The group puts on their gas masks, their faces covered in protective gear. Suddenly, the ground begins to rumble, and a small opening appears, glowing with an eerie light. DUSTIN This is it, guys. Showtime. STEVE Whatever happens, we stick together. Understood? Everyone nods, taking a final calming breath. ROBIN Let's save those people and get out of there as fast as we can. With a final nod, Eleven goes first, followed by Mike, Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, Robin, Dustin, Lucas, and Max. The group steps into the portal, crossing over to the Upside Down. EXT. UPSIDE DOWN - NIGHT One by one, they emerge in the Upside Down - a nightmarish, dark replica of their town, filled with floating spores and decaying structures. JONATHAN It's even worse than I remembered... MAX Keep your eyes open. We have to find those lost people, and we never know when something might attack. Their hearts pounding, and their senses on high alert, the group moves forward through the Upside Down, ready to confront the unknown. FADE OUT.
