What are you talking about? YUKARI (Bursts into laughter) You're all so clueless! Since day one, I knew that none of you would ever suspect a thing. JUNPEI Are you saying that there's something you've been keeping from us? YUKARI That's right, Junpei. Get ready to have your tiny little minds blown. I wasn't born into any ordinary family - I was born into a family of gods. And Tartarus, Nyx, all those Shadows you've been fighting? I created them. SEES members gasp in shock, unable to process what YUKARI has just revealed. AKIHIKO (Shocked and betrayed) Why, Yukari? Why did you do all this? YUKARI (Smugly) Isn't it obvious? I wanted to test you all, to see if you were worthy of my divine presence. The fact that you never figured it out... (Chuckles) You humans are so painfully oblivious. MITSURU (Frustrated) How could you? You were supposed to be our friend, our ally! YUKARI Oh, please. I never cared about any of you. Watching you struggle and suffer was just... entertaining. I must admit, though, you guys were better amusement than I expected. JUNPEI (Gritting his teeth) So what now? What are you planning to do with us? YUKARI (Dramatically opens her arms) I'll tell you what. Because I'm feeling generous, I'm offering you all the chance of a lifetime. Join me, and I will bestow upon you immortality and power unlike any you've ever known. But fail to do so and, well... You're just as disposable as the rest of humanity. So, what do you say? MINATO (Calmly) My answer is no. I won't betray my friends or abandon the real world for your false fantasy. YUKARI (Smirking) Oh, such a brave little hero. It's your loss. And as for the rest of you? Choose wisely. MITSURU, JUNPEI, and AKIHIKO all look at each other, silently communicating their unwavering loyalty to one another. MITSURU We refuse to be used as pawns in your twisted schemes, Yukari. Don't you see that you've lost? YUKARI (Laughs hysterically) You might have won this round, dear friends. INT. DORM - LIVING AREA - NIGHT SEES members - MINATO, YUKARI, JUNPEI, MITSURU, and AKIHIKO - reconvene at the dorm after YUKARI's shocking display of divine power. They're still reeling from her terrifying disclosure. YUKARI (Smugly) Aren't you many mortals curious about my godly family, perhaps? JUNPEI (Laughs) It's true. You've left us dying to know more. As the atmosphere takes a sudden dark turn, the SEES members exchange quizzical glances only to feel a shiver run down their spines. YUKARI (Grinning) Oh, Junpei, you never could keep a secret. Allow me to enlighten all of you. Meet my boyfriend and the co-creator of Nyx and Tartarus: Junpei Iori. The group gasps as the tension heightens. JUNPEI stands up, revealing a new, wicked aura emanating from him. JUNPEI (Arrogant) That's right. We're a power couple, in case you weren't aware by now. You think you know someone and then...boom! You find out they're a god. Life, huh? AKIHIKO Why, Junpei? You were one of us! JUNPEI (Grinning) I helped create this chaos only to watch you pitiful humans fumble in the darkness. No hard feelings, buddy. MINATO (Gravely) Is there any part of you that once considered us friends? JUNPEI (Gloating) Of course, there was! But, you know, plans change. I'm sorry, but being a god comes with perks that brotherhood can't compete with. YUKARI (Seductively) We know that you're hurt by our deception, but you weaklings are far too pathetic to pose a threat to us. As YUKARI latches onto JUNPEI, they share a sinister laugh before taking off into the night sky, their divine power on full display. MITSURU (Gritting her teeth) They've just upped the stakes... We cannot stand for this treachery. AKIHIKO (Resolute) We need to stop them and end this nightmare, once and for all. MINATO (State of determination) Together, we stand united against the people we once called friends. SEES will prevail, and we'll put an end to the gods' devious games. Our little SEES friends certainly didn't see this coming. JUNPEI hands YUKARI a strange, divine device that resembles a whip, its tip crackling with energy. YUKARI (Bordering on maniacal) Are you ready for some amusement, dear Junpei? JUNPEI (Coldly) Let the games begin. They circle FUUKA, who is still unconscious, their sinister laughs echoing through the lair. Suddenly, her eyes flutter open, and fear fills them as she realizes her predicament. FUUKA (Panicking) Wh-what are you doing? Where am I? Minato, help! YUKARI (Taunting) Oh, sweet little Fuuka. Don't you understand by now? There's no one coming to save you. JUNPEI tortures FUUKA, causing her immense pain. With each strike, her screams of agony echo throughout the room, filling the hearts of YUKARI and JUNPEI with repulsive glee. As the inhumane torture comes to a temporary halt, FUUKA's vision goes blurry. Through her hazy vision, she sees the faces of her friends, their features distorted by pain and grief. FUUKA (Whispering weakly) No matter... what you do... we'll never give up. SEES will... stop you. You... both... Her voice trails off as darkness overtakes her consciousness, and resolve begins to well up within her beaten form. The cruelty displayed by her captors only serves to strengthen her determination to survive and protect her SEES comrades.
