(In the Betweenlands) [player]: "Jeez, who would come up with a dimension like this?" ([player] notices something on the ground - a small flying creature. It had dark-green hide, four glowing eyes, bat-like wings, solidified sludge on its body, and razor-sharp teeth. Judging from its size, it's just a baby) [player]: "Hey there, little guy!" (reaches out to pet it) (The little creature lets out a curious growl) [player]: "You're an interesting one, aren't you?" (Suddenly, a larger, more intimidating version of the creature appears from the shadows) ???: "What are you doing with my son?!"

[player]: "Oh, I didn't know it was your son. I was just admiring him." ???: "Be careful with your admiration. My kind doesn't take kindly to outsiders." [player]: "I understand. I'll be on my way then." (The creature blocks [player]'s path) ???: "You can't just leave now. You've seen too much. You might reveal the location of our nest." [player]: "I won't tell anyone, I promise." ???: "I can't take that risk. You'll have to come with me." (The creature picks up [player] with its powerful claws and carries them to its nest) [player]: "This is not what I had in mind when I came here." (The nest is made of twisted vines, roots, and moss, and is filled with strange, fleshy objects that [player] can't identify) ???: "Make yourself comfortable. You're going to be here for a while." (The creature leaves [player] alone in the nest, but they can hear its growls and snarls echoing through the tunnels) [player]: "I have to find a way out of here. But first, I need to figure out what these things are." ([player] examines the fleshy objects and discovers that they're actually eggs, ready to hatch) [player]: "Oh no. I've gotten myself into a whole nest of trouble."
