Title: Close Call FADE IN: EXT. BUSY STREET - DAY We see Sandy, a young woman, walking fast on the sidewalk. She's listening to music on her headphones and is not paying attention to her surroundings. Suddenly, a car comes speeding towards her. Sandy, oblivious to the danger, continues walking as the car gets nearer and nearer. A few passersby see the car and shout at Sandy to warn her, but she doesn't hear them. As the car comes within inches of Sandy, it screeches to a halt, barely avoiding hitting her. Sandy, startled, fumbles with her headphones. She removes them from her ears and looks around. She seems shaken, but unharmed. The driver of the car, a middle-aged man, gets out and apologizes to Sandy. DRIVER: I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Sandy, still trying to catch her breath, nods her head. SANDY: Yes, I'm fine... I wasn't paying attention. DRIVER: You should be more careful. Sandy nods again and watches as the driver gets back into his car and drives away. Sandy takes a deep breath and starts to walk again, this time with more awareness of her surroundings. FADE OUT. THE END.
