[told from Sayori's point of view, there would be dialogue in this story:] (I was a student enrolled in the School of Balance - since I was the only wizard ever born in this spiral-forsaken desert. As my sub-professor over in Wizard City - Arthur Westhersfield - said, Balance is a unique magic from Krokotopia - which is said spiral-forsaken desert I mentioned earlier. My *actual* professor is Alhazred - an old and prominent member of the Order of the Fang. Now, I've never been to Wizard City - I only heard about it from my fellow students, who all came from there. However, I just so happened to lean my most recent Balance spell - Hydra. To demonstrate how my new spell works, I was brought to Krokotopia's grand arena for a test-battle against the Jabberwock - a Fire-elemental wyrm-type enemy from Avalon, which was another location within the spiral.)

There I stood, nervous yet excited, facing the roaring crowd in Krokotopia's grand arena. My heart pounded like a drum echoing through the vast desert, yet I found comfort in the golden warmth of the sandy stones that surrounded me. As an adept of Balance magic, I felt the elemental forces coursing through my veins, waiting for the pivotal moment to conjure the Hydra spell I had recently mastered. "You sure you're ready for this, Sayori?" My friend, an ice wizard named Eliza, asked from the sidelines, her voice laced with concern but also brimming with confidence in me. She had come all the way from Wizard City to witness my demonstration. I took a deep breath, feeling the mixed Scents of the arena; a blend of ancient incense and the faint odor of magical reagents. "I have to be," I replied, firm in my resolve. "This is my moment to prove my worth to the Order of the Fang--no, to prove it to myself." Just as Eliza gave me a reassuring nod, Professor Alhazred's wise voice boomed out across the arena, drawing the attention of the crowd. "Today, you shall witness the might of Balance magic as our devoted student, Sayori, takes on the ferocious Jabberwock!" The crowd exploded into cheers and anticipation hung thickly in the air. Out of the opposite gate, the Jabberwock emerged, its scales shimmering with a fiery hue, matching the intensity of its Fire magic origin. A challenger from Avalon, yet perfectly at home within the sweltering heat of Krokotopia's battleground. I stepped forward, my spellbook in hand, and as our eyes met, the Jabberwock unleashed a fierce roar that shook the very sands beneath my feet. Without a second thought, I began to weave my mana, the Balance forces harmonizing together as I started the incantation. "Sands of time, essence divine, I call upon the Hydra's might, triple-headed dragon take flight!" Magic swirled around me as three heads materialized--each embodying a different element: fire, ice, and storm. The Hydra roared to life above me, a testament to Balance's versatility and power. The crowd gasped in awe at the spectacle, their earlier noises silenced by the grandeur of the spell. The Jabberwock, unfazed, launched a blazing inferno towards me, but I was ready. "Hydra, shield me with your might!" I commanded, and the ice head interposed, dampening the brunt of the fiery attack with an arctic blast. Now was my chance. "Strike now, my creature of Balance!" I urged with determination. In perfect unison, the Hydra's three elemental heads descended upon the Jabberwock--the fire clashed with fire, the ice quelled the beast's heat, and the storm head delivered an electrifying finish. The Jabberwock let out an anguished roar as the magic took its toll. With one final, collective effort, the Hydra overwhelmed the creature, sending it staggering back into the walls of the arena. The din of the crowd erupted into a symphony of cheers and applause. Catching my breath, I watched as the Jabberwock recovered, shaking off the last wisps of magical energy, before it retreated with a respectful nod towards me. "Remarkable display, Sayori!" Professor Alhazred exclaimed, pride evident in his voice. "Your understanding of Balance magic is truly profound!" I smiled, my heart racing with exhilaration. "Thank you, Professor. It was the Hydra, but it was also every lesson you've taught me," I said, bowing slightly in respect to the master. As my fellow students from Wizard City rushed over to congratulate me on the amazing feat, I felt a profound sense of accomplishment. Today was not just another demonstration. It was the day I tasted the true potential of my power, the day I felt completely in harmony with the School of Balance, and most importantly, the day I discovered my own strength within the spiral.
