FADE IN: EXT. ROOFTOP - DAY We see Nick, Ellis, Francis, and Louis standing on the rooftop. NICK: Man, I'm sick of these zombies. I wish we could do something more interesting. ELLIS: Yeah, like what? FRANCIS: I don't know, something that'll make us feel more alive. LOUIS: What about joining a club or something? NICK: A club? What kind of club would we even join? ELLIS: I don't know, man. Maybe a book club or something? FRANCIS: No way. We're not joining any book club. LOUIS: How about the Doki Doki Literature Club? NICK: The what? ELLIS: I heard about that. It's a club where you read and discuss literature with other students. FRANCIS: Sounds boring. LOUIS: Come on, guys. It might be fun. NICK: Fine. Let's check it out. CUT TO: INT. SCHOOL - DAY The boys enter the classroom where the Doki Doki Literature Club meets. NATSUKI: Who are these guys? SAYORI: Hi, I'm Sayori. Nice to meet you. YURI: I'm Yuri. Welcome to the club. MONIKA: I'm Monika, the club president. It's great to have you here. NATSUKI: I'm Natsuki. And who are you? NICK: I'm Nick. NATSUKI: Well, Nick, I hope you like reading books with big words. NICK: I hope you like reading books that aren't meant for ten year olds. NATSUKI: Excuse me? NICK: I'm just saying, your taste in literature is limited. NATSUKI: My taste is not limited! NICK: Oh really? What do you even read? Manga? NATSUKI: At least I don't read boring, old books like you. NICK: Boring? Have you even read Crime and Punishment? NATSUKI: What's that supposed to mean? NICK: It means if you want to expand your mind, you should read something more challenging than comics. NATSUKI: I don't need to expand my mind. I like what I like. NICK: That's too bad. You're missing out on a lot of great literature. NATSUKI: Whatever. MONIKA: Okay, let's all calm down. We're here to enjoy literature, not argue about it. NICK: Sorry, Monika. I just can't stand it when people talk down to books. ELLIS: Yeah, and Natsuki started it. NATSUKI: I did not! SAYORI: Come on, guys. Let's just read some poems and have a good time. The group settles down and starts reading. FADE OUT. THE END.
